Emilia Clarke Reunited With Both of Her ‘Game of Thrones’ Loves Jason Momoa and Kit Harington
Game of Thrones fans just got their first major reunion. It has only been five months since the hit HBO fantasy drama aired its final episode, and Emilia Clarke just got back with her former Game of Thrones lovers: Jason Momoa and Kit Harington. The trio posed for a quick pic on Instagram in honor of Clarke’s birthday – and we couldn’t be happier seeing them together again.
Inside Clarke’s ‘Game of Thrones’ reunion
Clarke shared the photo of her posing between Momoa and Harington on Instagram. Momoa played the part of Daenerys Targaryen’s (Clarke) husband, Khal Drogo, while Harington played her second lover, Jon Snow.
“Reunions never looked this hairy,” Clarke wrote alongside the pic. “Any excuse for a Momoa sandwich.”
Game of Thrones fans naturally could not get enough of the reunion and Momoa chimed in with a comment of his own on Emilia Clarke’s post.
“Happy birthday love. So stoked I got to see you,” he wrote.
Momoa’s character was killed off way back in season 1 of Game of Thrones, though he did reprise the role in a flashback the following season.
The actor was also spotted on set throughout the show’s epic run, including an appearance ahead of the final season. Although there were plenty of rumors about his character’s return to the show, none of them ever panned out.
As far as Harington is concerned, his character fell in love with Daenerys in the final two seasons. Their love story, however, ended in a tragic way when he killed her after she burned King’s Landing to the ground.
The ending created a lot of backlash with fans, though it does not appear to have affected Clarke and Harington’s friendship outside of the show.
Emilia Clarke reveals meeting with Beyonce
Speaking of her activity off the set, Clarke recently opened up about the time she met Beyonce, an honor few people have experienced.
According to Elle, the chance meeting happened while Clarke was at a celebrity party. She had no idea that Beyonce and her husband, Jay-Z, were at the event until they strolled up to her and said hello.
“So I did not expect to see them, you know, in the flesh, I wasn’t expecting that at all,” Clarke shared during an interview on The Graham Norton Show.
Clarke revealed that Beyonce clearly thought the conversation would go completely normal and was surprised when she started crying on the spot.
“[I was] too many drinks in, started crying, it didn’t go well. I mean, literally, eyes welling up like, ‘I can’t handle this, it’s too intense,’” Clarke explained.
This is not the first time Emilia Clarke has shared the story. During an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the Game of Thrones star added that tried to find Beyonce after her misstep.
But she ultimately could not locate the couple because she was crying too much. Although it ended up breaking Clarke’s heart, we completely understand that she reacted that way. Honestly, who wouldn’t?
Inside Clarke’s new tattoo
Now that Game of Thrones is officially over, Emilia Clarke has moved on to other projects. But before she started the next chapter in her promising career, the actress got a tattoo in honor of her time on the show.
Shortly after season 8 finished filming, Clarke got a tattoo of three dragons on her wrist. The ink is in honor of her character’s dragons, who were basically Daenerys’ children throughout her rise to power.
Sadly, only one of her dragons survived to the end of the series, which probably makes the ink pretty sentimental for the actress.
Emilia Clarke, of course, has other tattoos, though none of them are related to Game of Thrones.
This includes a bumblebee on her pinky finger, which was done in honor of her part in the film, Me Before You. Dr. Woo was the artist behind the tattoo and also did the dragons on Clarke’s wrist.
Lastly, Clarke has a tattoo of a goat on her ribcage. At least we suspect it is a goat. Clarke has never opened up about the tattoo, which was first seen at the beginning of 2019.
When it comes to her future projects, Emilia Clarke is getting ready for the release of her upcoming movie, Last Christmas, which just finished production. She is also set to star in a film titled Above Suspicion.
