Clarke was born in London in 1986. She had very successful parents, with her father working as a theatre sound engineer and her mother acting as the vice-president of marketing for a management consultancy firm.

Clarke developed an interest in the arts at a very early age. When she was only three years old, Clarke went with her mother to a theatre production of the classic musical Show Boat. From there, Clarke was bitten by the acting bug and decided that she wanted to become an actress.

What feature was Emilia Clarke bullied over?

Although she is known as a great beauty these days, renowned for her curvy figure, stunning smile, and signature hazel eyes, Clarke was not always the belle of the ball. In fact, when she was a child in school, she was often bullied for her full, thick eyebrows.

Clarke later revealed that she wanted to pluck them to try and alleviate the teasing but that her mother had “rules” against touching her eyebrows. Clarke stated that now, years later, she’s “grateful” for her mother’s sage advice.

After all, Clarke’s eyebrows have become part of her overall charm, and full eyebrows are very much in style.
