Emmys 2018: Which Shows Are Nominated for the Most Awards?

Emmys 2018 is here to give the verdict on what was the best performances and shows on television. There are a few shows that are often nominated and heavily. But which shows came out with the most nominations? We decided to break it down to the top four. Here are the four most nominated shows this year.

1. Game of Thrones 22 nominations

The HBO series is unsurprisingly dominating the award show this year with 22 nominations this year. The show is back from its hiatus and nominated for Outstanding Drama Series.

Lena Headey and Peter Dinklage are nominated again for their supporting roles. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau got his first nomination this year for playing Jaime Lannister. Diana Rigg is nominated as guest actress for playing Lady Olenna.

David Benioff and D.B. Weiss are up for writing. Alan Taylor and Jeremy Podeswa are nominated for directing. The rest of their nominations are for the creative arts.

2. Saturday Night Live 21 nominations

Once again the show is paying off big by parodying the news. It is nominated for 21 Emmys including Variety Sketch Series. Tiffany Haddish has already won her Emmy for Guest Actress. Leslie Jones, Aidy Bryant, Kate McKinnon, Alec Baldwin, Kenan Thompson, Tina Fey, Bill Hader, and Donald Glover are also nominated this year.

3. Westworld 21 nominations

HBO came out on top again with its sci-fi series. The show itself is nominated for Outstanding Drama Series. Evan Rachel Wood, Jeffrey Wright, and Ed Harris are nominated as outstanding leads in a drama series. Thandie Newton is nominated for supporting. The rest of the nominations are for the creative arts.

4. The Handmaid’s Tale 20 nominations

The Handmaid’s Tale | Hulu

The Hulu show returned with 20 nominations including Outstanding Drama Series, which it won the previous year. Elisabeth Moss, Alexis Bledel, Yvonne Strahovski, Ann Dowd, Joseph Fiennes, Cherry Jones, Kelly Jenrette, and Samira Wiley are all nominated for their acting.
