Euphoria Season 2 brought back the infamous tape of Cal and Jules. Nate retrieved the tape from Maddy by force and surprisingly returned the tape to Jules. However, Nate still had plans for his father. He called the police on Cal in the Euphoria Season 2 finale, showing his father a flash drive in his hand. The finale never clarified what exactly was on the flash drive. Nate actor Jacob Elordi weighs in on whether or not it contained Jules’ video.

Cal Jacobs records his sexual encounters in ‘Euphoria’

It’s a well-known fact in Euphoria that Cal Jacobs secretly records all of his sexual encounters. Nate found these tapes at a young age, and he discovers the video of his father having sex with his classmate Jules. Maddy steals the tape, but Nate retrieves it from her by playing a sick game of Russian Roulette in Euphoria Season 2.

Surprisingly, Nate then returns the tape to Jules. He tells Jules that this is the only copy and he is giving it to her so she can do what she wants with it. Nate then tells Jules that everything he said when they were talking online was true. Some fans believe that Nate is really in love with Jules, but could this scene have been another manipulation tactic?

Was Jules’ video on the flashdrive in ‘Euphoria’ Season 2?

In the Euphoria Season 2 finale, Nate finds Cal hiding out in a warehouse, drinking with friends. Nate reveals a flash drive in his hand, presumably filled with Cal’s sex tapes, and the police enter the building and arrest Cal. Notably, Nate never says exactly what is in the flash drive, and the police don’t state the charges against Cal.

It’s possible that Nate lied about the disc he gave Jules being the only copy. Perhaps the video is on the flash drive, and Cal’s arrest was for statutory rape. It’s also possible that Cal was arrested for recording people without their permission or that the flash drive contains videos of Cal having sex with other minors besides Jules.

As for actor Jacob Elordi, he shared with Variety that he does not believe Jules’ video was on the flash drive. “No, I think he was being honest to Jules when he said it was the only copy. I played that scene as genuine, anyway. I think it was important that he was telling the truth in that moment. But there are hundreds of other videos on there for sure.”

Did Nate plan on killing Cal?

It’s worth noting that Nate also brought a gun with him when he went to confront his father in the Euphoria Season 2 finale. Elordi discussed why his character took the weapon along. The actor told Variety that Nate was “probably not sure how it’s gonna go. He’s terrified of his dad, and a big part of him wants to kill his dad — to put a bullet in the head of his demons. He’s also at a point of no return, and is being completely unhinged at that point.”
