Every Celebrity Eric Trump Has Feuded With On Social Media
While Donald Trump often makes headlines for his Twitter rants, his children appear to be a bit more social-media savvy. That being said, they’re not without their gaffs.
Donald Trump Jr. has also made waves with a few celebrities, including his infamous fight with Jimmy Kimmel. But his younger brother, Eric, has mostly remained out of the spotlight. That being said, here are a few times Eric Trump rubbed a public figure the wrong way online.
Ellen DeGeneres

When thinking about comedic talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, words like “funny,” “happy,” and “charitable” come to mind. Conniving political pundit? Not so much.
But Eric Trump thinks differently. He reasoned that Twitter’s algorithm was suggesting that he follow Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and DeGeneres because all three are a part of the “deep state,” a conservative conspiracy that the Trumps are firm believers in. For her part, DeGeneres responded humorously and gently, suggesting that the younger Trump follow her because she posts “a lot of cute videos.”

Yikes — this was probably the Trump son’s biggest fight with a well-known celebrity. In March 2017, the comedian tweeted that she had just learned his wife was pregnant, adding, “Just what we need. Another person with those jeans.”
The Trump family was quick to jump on Handler for her “‘party of tolerance’ nonsense” as well as her homonym error. Months later, Eric Trump decided to remind everyone of the incident when Handler came under fire for tweeting a parody of Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
Keith Olbermann

Political commentators, especially those who are critical of the GOP, have called out the Trumps time and time again. But it was Keith Olbermann, host of GQ.com’s The Resistance, who really infuriated Eric Trump.
In July 2017, Olbermann responded to a tweet of Kellyanne Conway’s, accusing Trump of “self-dealing charity cash to himself from golf tournaments.” When Trump shot back at him, citing the money he had raised, Olbermann replied that those funds were “skimmed/self-dealt back to [the] Trump [Organization],” and fired off his own contributions (which, he says, “came out of [his] pocket,”) and cited an article detailing the nefarious dealings of the Trumps.
Chrissy Teigen

If there’s one celeb you can count on to call others out on their crap in a hilarious way, it’s Chrissy Teigen. The outspoken model is always using her social media platforms to entertain and educate, and she frequently calls out members of the Trump family.
When Eric Trump tweeted back in July 2017 about how he feels that “they [the media] viciously attack [his] family,” Teigen didn’t bother with a political rebuttal: She simply tweeted “What happens when you see garlic.” This is in reference to a meme that draws a comparison between the younger Trump’s looks and that of a vampire. Burn (with a cross)!

It seems that a lot Eric Trump’s enemies come from standing up for his kin. And when your dad is President Trump, you’re going to be looked at often to weigh in.
In November 2017, after the president called Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren “Pocahontas” and mocked her alleged Native American heritage — for what wasn’t even the first time — the younger Trump tried to make fun of commentators who called it racist. He tweeted “The irony of an ABC reporter (whose parent company Disney has profited nearly half a billion dollars on the movie “Pocahontas”) inferring that the name is “offensive” is truly staggering to me.”
It’s unclear if he knows the actual origin story of Pocahontas, but it is certain that he doesn’t know the definition of “irony.”
Mark Hamill

Luke Skywalker himself is a Jedi both on and offscreen. Mark Hamill has made a point to call out the Trumps on several occasions, including those that happened before they became the first family.
Beginning in 2015, images have surfaced of the Trump men hunting big game — such as leopards, elephants, and buffalo — all of which the hunters have defended as within their rights. Despite this, Hamill took joy in pulling a quote of Eric Trump’s regarding how people “viciously” attack his family and posting it alongside a composite of images of him and the animals he has killed with the same lack of regard.
Chelsea Clinton

It’s not surprising that another former president’s child, Chelsea Clinton, wouldn’t be a fan of the Trumps. After all, her mother would hold the office were Eric’s dad not in it. Like her mother, Clinton often seems to be dragged into conversations regarding the current administration that she has no part of, and she deals with it diplomatically.
After the president’s son appeared on Hannity and said that democrats “aren’t even people,” author Brian Klaas tweeted about how much different the reaction would have been if the younger Clinton had said the same thing about Republicans. She simply replied, “I would never say that because I don’t believe it.”
