Every Fabulous Celebrity Look from the Royal Wedding

All told, the fashion choices at Prince Harry and Meghan Markles’ royal wedding were, unsurprisingly, modest. Still that doesn’t mean they were boring by any means. Of course, Markle herself made an amazing fashion statement on her big day. But for now, we’re interested in how her guests dressed to the nines for the ceremony.

Here are all the best celebrity looks from the royal wedding, ranked from amazing to best dressed — maybe ever. Make sure to stick around to see who had the most fabulous wedding look of all.

10. Priyanka Chopra

As one of Markles’ closest Hollywood friends, it was long assumed that Priyanka Chopra would score a coveted invite to her wedding. So the anticipation was big for what the glamorous star would wear on the big day.

To put it mildly, Chopra didn’t disappoint. Her lavender custom Vivienne Westwood suit was tasteful but delightfully modern, with an asymmetric neckline that hinted at her trademark Hollywood glamour.

The accompanying Philip Treacy hat was also a wonderful mixture of playfulness and class. And her shimmery plum lip and eye makeup, inspired by Prince’s “Purple Reign,” made her picture perfect.

9. Pippa Middleton

At her sister’s royal wedding, many felt Pippa Middleton stole the show. When she attended Harry and Markles’ ceremony, she still turned heads, but for a different reason. Many fans were on the lookout for Middleton’s impending baby bump.  But plenty of others were more focused on her fabulous wedding look.

Middleton’s green floral dress was perfect for the occasion. Designed by the Fold, the long-sleeved number with pleated pink accents, paired perfectly with her adorably posh fascinator.

Sure, some naysayers compared the dress to an Arizona Ice Tea can. For our money, it was a fresh and fun look for the mother-to-be.

8. Oprah Winfrey

Everything Oprah Winfrey does, she does with flair. So it should surprise no one that she went all out for her royal wedding look. The actress, TV host, and all-around mogul looked gorgeous in a pale pink Stella McCartney cocktail dress with subtle lace accents. Her vintage Philip Treacy hat matched perfectly, and was easily one of the most fabulous at the ceremony.

What’s even more amazing about Winfrey’s wedding day attire is that it came together at the last minute. She realized the day before that her original beige dress would photograph looking white — the ultimate wedding faux pas.

So with McCartney’s help, she hatched for plan B. And as far as we’re concerned, it went off without a hitch.

Nothing says “spring wedding” like a good floral print. And singer Joss Stone, a longtime friend of William and Harry, proved that in spades with her royal wedding dress.

Her white cocktail dress was charmingly accented with a pink and blue floral pattern. And her springy feather-filled fascinator gave her wedding look a bit of whimsy.

6. Abigail Spencer

While floral prints abounded at the royal wedding, one of Markles’ Suits co-stars stood out from the crowd with a different pattern altogether.

Abigail Spencer wore an Alessandra Rich navy blue polka dot collared dress. It wasn’t just the pattern that made Spencer stand out, though. The gown was ankle length and long-sleeved with bold white buttons down the front.

Her matching fascinator gave the look a ‘40s-era glam appeal.

There was so much to love about Serena Williams’ royal wedding look that it’s hard to know where to start. Her pale pink Versace dress was pure sophistication, and her extravagantly feathered fascinator gave her look an energetic edge.

And fans were quick to notice (and delight at the fact) that Williams wore her hair in full cornrow braids for the ceremony. Her thigh-length hairstyle was a stunning complement to her incredible look.

Usually when we talk about Beckham fashion moments, we’re referring to Victoria (she didn’t earn the Posh Spice moniker for nothing). But even though her royal wedding look was totally on point, this time it was her husband David who truly wowed onlookers.

Beckham’s morning suit was wildly traditional. But the grey waistcoat, paired with the monochrome trousers and long tailcoat, gave off a decidedly modern air.

And let’s be real here — has anyone ever looked cooler than Beckham did as he casually slid his sunglasses on outside that church? (The answer is almost definitely no.)

Sometimes, the exact celebrity finds the exact right dress, and magic happens. That was definitely the case with the floor-length Erdem dress Carey Mulligan wore to the royal wedding.

The flowing floral dress cast a gorgeous silhouette on the actress, and its pale green shade fit her complexion perfectly. Plus, her subtle feather-based side headpiece gave the entire look a retro feel.

Harry and Markles’ royal wedding turned into a bit of an across-the-pond reunion for the cast of Suits. But like Spencer, another of Markles’ co-stars truly stood out from the throng of guests who attended.

Gina Torres looked positively radiant in a bright red and white Costarellos dress. And her summery hat felt like a huge departure from many of the other subtle headpieces at the wedding — and we mean that in the best way possible.

1. Amal Clooney

There’s a reason Amal Clooney’s dress was the most searched on the internet after the royal wedding: it’s sheer perfection. Her goldenrod Stella McCartney dress was somehow both bold and understated, with semi-capped sleeves and a pinched square neckline.

The accompanying side-tipped veiled hat was playful and elegant. The shoes. The make-up. Her hair. Every single part of her look was nothing short of dazzling.

Her husband, George, looked pretty dapper himself in his grey suit and pale pink tie. But it was the human rights lawyer who truly captivated our attention — so much so that some news outlets “forgot” he was the famous one.
