Every TV Show That Has Been Canceled in 2018 (So Far)
In terms of television cancellations, 2018 has been an absolute bloodbath. As usual, tons of new shows, from Alex Inc. to Rise, bombed hard and didn’t make it to a second season. But in addition to these cases, this year has also seen the untimely and unexpected end of a bunch of shows with fairly passionate fanbases, from Shadowhunters to Timeless.
The good news is that these days, when a show is canceled, there’s always a chance another network will pick it up; that’s already happened to a few this year, the most prominent being Brooklyn Nine-Nine. There was also Roseanne, which was canceled but then continued as a spinoff, The Conners, without the lead characters.
Now that we’re heading into the fall television season, let’s round up all of the cancellations that have taken place in 2018 so far, dividing them up by network. Note: this list was last updated on August 23rd, 2018.
