Caitlyn Jenner has been going through some major life changes in a very public way. As a member of the Kardashian and Jenner clan, she knows she has a huge platform for spreading important messages. From her journey into womanhood (page 3) to her views on the Trump administration (page 5), she isn’t afraid to make her voice heard.
Her Instagram account has been a main form of spreading awareness, and she’s had more than a few messages to share. Here’s every time Jenner got totally real on her social media.
1. Celebrating Trans Day of Visibility
Jenner took to her Instagram to celebrate Trans Day of Visibility. The holiday’s official website describes the day as being “dedicated to celebrating the accomplishments and victories of transgender and gender non-conforming people while raising awareness of the work that is still needed to save trans lives.”
In Jenner’s post, she shared, “What am I gonna do? I’m gonna be visible. Let’s get out there, have a good time, and enjoy the day.” According to Daily Mail, she did exactly as promised. Jenner was spotted celebrating the night in Los Angeles with her 21-year-old friend, Sophia Hutchins.

2. Her message about skin cancer
Jenner used her Instagram to send an important message about skin cancer. She shared a graphic photo in which she had just received surgery to remove sun damage from her nose, writing, “PSA- always wear your sunblock!”
While Jenner didn’t clarify in her post if her sun damage was cancerous, People reported confirmation that “Jenner had a cancerous basal cell carcinoma removed from her nose.” They explained, “Treatments for the commonly found skin cancer include prescription creams or in some cases surgery.”

3. Her path to womanhood
Jenner has taken us along on her journey into womanhood and has used her Instagram as an effective tool to do so. On International Women’s Day in 2018, she reposted a video from CNN in which she shares the difficulties she’s learning about being a woman.
“My path to womanhood was very different, and through that process, I think I learned a lot about women,” she explained. “Women are kind of brought up to be kind of a second-class citizen. Emotionally weaker. Physically weaker. I’ve always been inspired by strong women.”

4. Sharing ‘the joys of being a woman’
Jenner is definitely enjoying the perks of womanhood, even sharing one of her new Saturday morning routines.
In May 2016, she shared a very “real” photo of herself, wearing a face mask, under-eye patches, and luxurious robe. She captioned the photo, The joys of being a woman! sooo worth it.”

5. Her message to the Trump administration
Jenner was a vocal Donald Trump supporter during his campaign, and she even admitted to voting for him. However, as the president has failed to support the LGBT community, Jenner has since gone back on her support for Trump and has spoken out against him.
In sharing this Instagram post that calls out Trump and Jeff Sessions, she shared a heartfelt caption: “Today #JeffSessions said that civil rights law does not protect transgender workers from employment discrimination. This is not ok. #TransRightsAreHumanRights.”

6. Her outrage at Trump’s transgender ban from the military
Caitlyn has used her Instagram on a number of occasions to share her outrage with the Trump administration. After the president tweeted that “the United States Government will not accept or allow transgender individuals to serve in any capacity in the U.S. Military,” Jenner felt the need to speak up.
Along with this Instagram post, she shared in her caption, “This attack on the trans people fighting for our country is unacceptable and every America should be outraged.”

7. Pushing others to ‘live life authentically’
Jenner hasn’t only used her Instagram to show her own personal journey; She also hopes to inspire others. In this photo, she shared a personal quote, which reads: “I’m clear with my responsibility going forward … to promote a very simple idea: Accepting people for who they are.”
Her caption read, “I hope to inspire you to also live life authentically.”
