Thompson is a new addition to MCU, having starred in Thor: Ragnarok. The accomplished actress also relishes using her platform for good — and she was able to combine her interests with this particular tweet.

In comic-book canon, Valkyrie is openly bisexual, but her sexuality was never addressed in Ragnarok. However, in response to a fan’s tweet, Thompson confirmed that Valkyrie is indeed a member of the LGBTQ community, and she told Rolling Stone that she fought to keep a scene in the film that showed this.

A lot goes into making any film, and the larger the scale of the film, the more people become vital to the operation. However, it’s the stars (and, sometimes, the directors and writers) who we are able to see and acknowledge, so the best actors take it upon themselves to honor the crew.

Gillan gave a nod to her hair and makeup team for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. She shared a photo of her alongside five crew members, pointing out the hard work that they put into creating what you see on screen.

The amount of work these actresses have to put in in order to become superheroine-level fit is intense. And though plenty of celebrity ladies are keen to share the occasional workout selfie, Lilly took it to a whole other level with #waspworkout.

Some of her posts regarding health are serious, but oftentimes, she’s quick to reveal her silly side on Instagram. Lilly shared this video of her working out her upper body, which eventually led to her grooving to Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You.”

Plenty of celebrities are known for getting real, while others are considered more reserved with what they share online. While Elizabeth Olsen, who plays Scarlet Witch in the MCU, looks like she would be the latter, she may surprise you.

You see, Olsen has her own hashtag: #feedmefridays, where she shares paparazzi shots of herself eating. It’s pretty cool that she can poke fun at herself (as well as the media’s obsession with her) in such a light-hearted manner.

Black Panther was one of the most highly anticipated of the MCU. With its nearly all-black cast and African setting, Ryan Coogler has assembled an amazing team of actors to bring to life this story, including accomplished actresses Lupita Nyong’o and Danai Gurira.

Oscar-winner Nyong’o and The Walking Dead star Gurira celebrate their birthdays in March and February, respectively, so they decided to throw a joint birthday party in 2017. The theme of the bash was the popular ‘80s flick Coming to America, which also happens to be about royalty from a fictional African country.
