Exclusive: What Bachelorette JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers Have Been up to During Quarantine
Bachelor fans recently re-watched JoJo Fletcher get her heart broken by Ben Higgins on his episode of The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons — Ever! Today, she’s happily with her Bachelorette season winner, Jordan Rodgers. The couple has been engaged for four years. They were supposed to get married on June 13, 2020, but postponed due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
What JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers have been doing during quarantine
JoJo and Jordan recently moved into a new house so they’ve been spending a lot of time working on their new place.
“It’s been nice to focus on something positive that’s really rewarding,” JoJo told Showbiz Cheat Sheet. “And the good thing is [Jordan] loves doing it, too, so it’s something that we get to do together.”
One big project JoJo and Jordan recently tackled was fixing up a shiplap wall in their new home office.
“We recently just did a huge DIY project during quarantine. We painted this huge shiplap wall. It had some stains and blemishes and imperfections over time. So we used KILZ Premium Primer and it gave us this awesome surface to apply our paint and then we painted this awesome moody blue/black color, also from KILZ called ‘Kettle Black’ if anyone needs a color like that, but it’s beautiful. We redid the space and turned it into a home office,” she shared.
JoJo recently partnered with KILZ Primer to give one DIYer $5,000 in e-gift cards to tackle a project. The winner will also get to meet JoJo virtually to get her advice on their project. 10 additional winners will also receive a $500 e-gift card to get started on their own DIY to-do lists.
JoJo Fletcher’s DIY advice
JoJo believes truly anyone can DIY.
“If you prepare and are committed to finishing, you can absolutely do anything,” she said.
For beginner DIYers, JoJo says painting is the perfect project.
“I always tell people when they’re wanting to tackle a DIY project, if they’re a beginner, painting is always a great place to start. Any paint job, prep is so important. Starting with a primer is going to give you a long-lasting finish and durability. It helps transition paint jobs from dark to light. It blocks stains. I always tell people: Never skip this step,” she said.
If you’re not sure where to start, JoJo suggests painting your front door or giving your laundry room a facelift.
“If you want just a little thing to start with, painting your front door. I think curb appeal is always a nice refresher. If you want something in the house, maybe your laundry room is a little dull right now. You can repaint your cabinets. Give them a fun color; brighten up the space. Little things like that. You can also replace hardware. Those are really easy things that anyone can do,” she said.
