The Fab Five is heading to Tokyo, Japan for ‘Queer Eye’

Tokyo, anyone? As if you couldn’t love the Fab Five anymore, the boys are back with a new, unique season. This time, they’re taking their love and positive energy to Tokyo, Japan. Queer Eye: We’re in Japan premieres on Netflix on November 1, 2019.

The trailer for this season also shares that comedian Naomi Watanabe will join Jonathan Van Ness, Karamo Brown, and the rest of the crew. Additionally, model and actress Kiko Mizuhara will act as the Fab Five’s guide through Tokyo. It is unclear how many episodes will be in this season. Regardless, fans are excited about more Fab Five content.

Fans of Netflix’s ‘Queer Eye’ are already excited

Once the Queer Eye Instagram account and Antoni Porowski’s Twitter account shared the news, fans of the reality series went crazy on social media. Some shared their excitement about the Fab Five visiting a different country and sharing the culture with their viewers.

“Oh my God, we’re getting a Queer Eye season in Japan in November. We really don’t deserve three seasons in one year but I’ll take it,” said one Twitter user.

Other fans shared that they wanted the fan five to visit other towns and countries. One Twitter user stated, “waiting for you to do one in Tan’s hometown of glorious Doncaster.”

Not to worry, though — there’s plenty more Queer Eye content on the way. The Fab Five already started filming their fifth season. However, this season might be a little different from episodes in the past, primarily because of their location.

Although viewers do not know much about this show’s fifth season, fans learned that Netflix renewed the series and that production is already in the works. This time, the Fab Five, (Fab Six if you count Bruley,) is headed to the City of Brotherly love.

In a teaser for the fourth season of the Netflix series, fans saw the Philadelphia mascot and spirit animal, Gritty, posing behind the Queer Eye experts. Since then, fans have been counting down the days until a Philly Cheesesteak-filled season. We better get our tissues ready now.

“Okay, so thanks for everyone for confirming [the video with Gritty is] because the Fab Five are filming in Philly for the fifth season,” said one Twitter user. “Food, grooming, culture, and design will have their work cut out for them, but God bless Tan France, who has to explain why sweatpants, socks, and Adidas slides is not a look!”
