Fans and Celebrities React To Disney Star Cameron Boyce’s Unexpected Passing

It’s a very sad day In Hollywoods since its very own rising star has sadly passed away.

Cameron Boyce, who was known for his roles in the hit Disney series Jessie and the DCOM Descendants, has died at the age of 20 peacefully in his sleep.

After his family confirmed this unexpected news, fans and celebrities have been sharing their condolences on social media as well as extreme heartbreak over the loss of this talented actor at such a young age.

Boyce’s death was due to a seizure

Fans and celebrities alike are extremely sadden by the news of Disney Channel star Cameron Boyce passing away at the age of 20.

According to a statement released by his family, it read, “It is with a profoundly heavy heart that we report that this morning we lost Cameron. He passed away in his sleep due to a seizure which was a result of an ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated.”

“The world is now undoubtedly without one of its brightest lights, but his spirit will live on through the kindness and compassion of all who knew and loved him. We are utterly heartbroken and ask for privacy during this immensely difficult time as we grieve the loss of our precious son and brother,” the statement concluded. 

With Boyce being such a prominent figure on Disney Channel and in Hollywood for the past few years, his passing sent shockwaves through the industry.

Boyce made his feature film debut in the 2008’s Grown Ups, opposite of Adam Sandler. He then went on to appear in projects such as Grown Ups 2Good Luck CharlieShake It Up and Ultimate Spider-Man

Just last year, Boyce completed production on the highly-anticipated Disney Channel movie Descendants 3, which he stars in alongside Dove Cameron, Sofia Carson, and Booboo Stewart. The movie is set to premiere on August 3.

Boyce was set to appear in the HBO series Mrs. Fletcher as well as the upcoming TV series Paradise City

Friends and fans still can’t believe this news

During his career, Cameron Boyce has gained quite the following and has made lasting friendships with practically all of his co-stars.

Shortly after news of his passing broke, fans and famous friends have been sending their condolences on his Instagram page, where he currently has 9.4 million followers.

While many fans and friends have been sharing their love for the actor, some have even shared how Boyce has changed their lives for the better.

Boyce’s former Jessie co-star Skai Jackson even shared a heartfelt Instagram post along with a series of photos paying tribute to her on-screen brother.

“I don’t even know where to start… I am at a loss for words. I never thought in a million years I would be writing this. Cam, you were one of a kind. My heart will be forever broken. I am so happy that I got to spend almost everyday with you on set, you gave the best hugs,” she added. “I wish I would have hugged you tighter when I saw you a couple of months ago. Thank you so much for being the big brother I never had… I am so distraught and I cannot stop crying! I love you so much… fly high. Gods best Angel,” she wrote

The actor’s Instagram page has been filling up with condolences and though he is now gone, his memory and impact on others will live on forever.
