Fans Are Calling Khloé Kardashian’s Instagram Feed ‘Tone-Deaf’ — Here’s Why

For celebrities, it’s a constant battle to try to stay relevant. Whether it’s finding a new way to connect with fans or launching a new product, staying hot and fresh is important in today’s constantly changing world.

When it comes to the Kardashian family, they’ve seemed to have figured out the secret formula. Whether you love them or hate them, one thing’s for sure, the world hasn’t stopped talking about the Kardashian family since Keeping Up With the Kardashians premiered in 2007. So it makes Khloe Kardashian’s recent Instagram post all the more confusing.

The mother to one-year-old True recently shared a meme joking about spending the last of all her money on an iced coffee. And to say fans were confused would be a definite understatement.

In 2007, Keeping Up With the Kardashians introduced the world to the Kardashian/Jenner family. And for better or worse, social media and the entertainment industry have never been the same. Over the past decade, fans have come to relate to the youngest Kardashian, Khloé.

From the outset, Khloé Kardashian always seemed to have to fight harder than the rest of her family. She didn’t get as much attention as her older sisters, and this made her perhaps, more relatable.

Fans loved her personality and her ability to say whatever was on her mind. And when the 35-year-old found out about her boyfriend’s cheating drama, fans were once again able to relate. But lately, there’s been a dramatic change in the once-favored reality star.

Fans point out that she has developed a “pick me girl,” mentality and has struggled to relate with her fans that way she was once able to do. Some of the changes seemed to have happened overnight, and long-time followers are most definitely taking notice.

A recent post came across as ‘tone-deaf’

Ask anyone one word to describe the Kardashian family — chances are, one word you won’t hear is “poor.” So, naturally, fans can’t help but question a recent Instagram post the reality star made to her Instagram stories.

Kardashian posted a picture of her mother in a fur jacket and sunglasses with the caption, “me on my way to spend my last $4.52 on iced coffee.” One fan quickly jumped to Reddit to share the confusing post, writing “Wish Khloe would stop posting these tone deaf means.”

Other fans agreed with the original sentiment, adding, “Maybe she means $4.52 million.” Another wrote, “Does she think she’s funny?”

Whatever Kardashian’s intentions were with the post, it likely did come across as she intended. If she was trying to come off as relatable, she chose an interesting way to do it.

This isn’t the first time Khloé Kardashian has faced social media backlash

Last year the 35-year-old received similar reactions when she posted a picture of her daughter surrounded by some of her favorite handbags. The thing is, these particular handbags retail for about $12,000 each. Okay, that’s a lot, but still — what’s the big deal?

Well, the picture didn’t just feature one or two handbags, no the picture showed the four-month-old surrounded by 14 Birkin bags, with an approximate combined retail value of $160,000!

Shortly after the picture was posted, fans were at it again. This time for the celebrity’s overly photoshopped picture. In response, Kardashian temporarily shut down the comments on her posts.

Does the youngest Kardashian sister not realize what she is posting or is this her way to keep her fans talking? If it’s the latter, it certainly seems to be working.
