Here’s Why ‘Counting On’ Fans Think Jinger and Jeremy Are the Only Duggars in a Happy Marriage
Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo are arguably fans’ favorite Duggar couple. The two have been married since 2016, and they’ve broken away from the traditional Duggar rules and home life to explore a world of their own. Some fans even believe that Jinger is the only Duggar who is truly in a happy marriage. Here’s why.
Jinger and Jeremy didn’t meet through Jim Bob Duggar
Most of the Duggars’ courtship stories start the same way: The couple is introduced by Jim Bob Duggar, then they fall in love in a matter of minutes, get married, and start having kids. It might not be exactly like that, but Jim Bob does seem to have a hand in setting most of his kids up. However, that wasn’t the case with Jeremy and Jinger. The two actually met through Jessa and Ben, who first met Jeremy together when they took a trip to Texas. Jeremy then came out to visit them, where he met Jinger and instantly had a connection with her. It’s one of the only courtships that wasn’t Jim-Bob-approved from the start.
The couple broke away from the Duggars a bit once they wed
Jim Bob ended up agreeing that Jinger and Jeremy could court, and they only court for about a month before they got engaged. Once they wed, they almost immediately started doing things differently. They moved to Laredo, Texas, where Jeremy worked as a pastor. Jinger began wearing pants and tank tops, and they didn’t have any kids right away. They had their first daughter about a year ago and haven’t shared any plans to have another soon. Plus, Jeremy and Jinger recently announced they’ll be moving to Los Angeles, which is a very liberal city compared to where Jinger grew up in rural Arkansas.
Fans think that since Jeremy found Jinger on his own, their love is true
Reddit users suggest that Jinger and Jeremy are the only Duggars in a happy marriage because they are the only ones who truly chose each other. When it comes to a courtship, fans believe that Jim Bob arranges the marriages of his kids (especially his daughters) in one way or another, even if he doesn’t actually force them to court, should they not want to. But since Jeremy came out of the woodwork, fans believe that he caught Jim Bob off guard and that Jinger genuinely fell for him. Plus, the two of them have separated themselves from the family a bit, so it seems that Jeremy isn’t in this for the Duggar namesake.
People even suspect that Jim Bob doesn’t like Jeremy that much
There have been rumors that Jinger and Jeremy were feuding with her parents at one point. This couple does things differently than the others, and some think that this goes against Jim Bob’s approval. However, since the two are already married, Jim Bob can’t really do anything about their slightly rebellious life. It’s unclear if those rumors are true, but it would make sense, since Jeremy essentially swept Jinger away from the Duggar’s small Arkansas town.
