This Is the First Major Event Meghan Markle Will Attend When She Returns From Maternity Leave
Meghan Markle is currently on maternity leave anxiously awaiting the birth of her first child –Baby Sussex. Though the former actress has stopped making public appearances, she still has a few private meetings on her schedule. Additionally, Markle and Prince Harry are still figuring out logistics for their delayed move from their 2-bedroom apartment at Kensington Palace to their 10-bedroom home –Frogmore Cottage in Windsor.
The Duchess of Sussex is undoubtedly enjoying her time away from the frenzy of the public, but she certainly hasn’t put her feet up just yet. The former actress is used to a packed scheduled, so she’s already planning her calendar for Fall 2019 when she returns to her royal duties full time.

According to Vanity Fair –Markle is already looking forward to getting back to work. An insider revealed that the Duchess of Sussex has already marked off her calendar for Oct. 2019 to attend the annual summit for One Young World in London.
The insider revealed, “Harry is keen to support Meghan in developing her own role, and the opportunity to partner with a cause so close to her heart is an ideal stepping stone. All being well with the baby, the timing is perfect for her to expand her Commonwealth work through this new One Young World partnership with the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust.”

Are Meghan Markle and Prince Harry planning a royal tour to America?
In addition to royal events in the fall, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are already planning an American royal tour. The royal newlyweds had planned on visiting the States in the Spring of 2019, but since Markle is expecting their first child, they’ve had to alter their plans a bit. Vanity Fair’s royal correspondent Katie Nicholl shared that the tour is definitely on for the fall and the duke and duchess are set to visit the U.S. and Markle’s adopted home, Canada. Though the exact locations of the royal tour have yet to be announced, an insider told US Weekly, “They are thinking [about visiting] New York, Washington, D.C., and California. They’re working to finalize locations and venues.”
