Fans are eager to catch up with the cast of ‘Floribama Shore’

MTV reality fans miss Nilsa Prowant, Kortni Gilson, Gus Smyrnios, Codi Butts, Jeremiah Buoni, Kirk Medas, Aimee Hall, and Candace Rice. Season 3 of Floribama Shore concluded in February 2020. The season was packed full of Vegas bombs, late-night pizza deliveries, and a few run-ins with the law.

Season 3 also featured several of the roommates arguing with each other. Rice and Butts, despite their on-again-off-again romance, got into a screaming match during the season 3 finale.

Plus, the beef between Buoni and Smyrnios was left unresolved. Now, fans want to know where all of the Floribama Shore roommates stand.

Of course, many fans are excited about the usual drama between the housemates. But now, fans are also eager to learn more about how the entire cast feels about the nation’s political state and the coronavirus pandemic. There’s certainly a lot to cover in season 4.

Fortunately for viewers, production had already begun on the new season. Unfortunately, the pandemic directly impacted the production crew, which means fans will have to wait a bit longer for a new season of Floribama Shore

The coronavirus (COVID-19) shut down production of ‘Floribama Shore’ Season 4

Many Floribama Shore fans were shocked to learn production on season 4 had already started. On Nov. 27, Deadline reported production for season 4 was suspended.

“Filming was shut down for two weeks after a production team member tested positive for COVID-19,” the outlet said. “While a Season 4 renewal has not been announced, production on new episodes had been underway, which is not unusual for a hit MTV reality series.”

At this time, the cast and crew are reportedly quarantining in Lake Havasu, Arizona, where the new season is being filmed. In the past, Floribama Shore was shot in Panama City Beach, Florida, with the exception of season 3, which filmed in St. Pete Beach, Florida.

Filming will likely resume barring everyone tests negatively in two weeks.

When will ‘Floriabama Shore’ Season 4 be released?

While the coronavirus did put many entertainment projects on hold, it seems MTV has gotten a handle on filming during a pandemic.

Cameras continued filming for Jersey Shore: Family Vacation in the months after Angelina Pivarnick’s wedding. Still, a majority of the content for season 4 was filmed almost a year later.

In September 2020, the Jersey Shore cast started sharing behind-the-scenes photos with captions detailing how filming was going. By Nov. 19, season 4 was ready for fan consumption.

Many fans are hopeful MTV will do the same with Floribama Shore. With knowledge of how quickly MTV turned around a new season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, fans won’t likely have to wait long once filming for Floribama Shore safely continues.
