Former ‘Southern Charm’ Star Thomas Ravenel Dragging Patricia Altschul To Court

Former Southern Charm star Thomas Ravenel is in the middle of a nasty custody battle with his ex, Kathryn Dennis, and he continues to drag everyone he can think of into the fight. After blaming Bravo execs and Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen for Dennis’ quest for full custody, Ravenel is now bringing in Southern Charm matriarch Patricia Altschul to find out if Dennis’ colluded with another one of his ex-girlfriends to accuse him of sexual assault.

Patricia Altschul did not want to get involved

According to The Blast, Altschul filed a motion to avoid being deposed in the case, but the judge ruled in Ravenel’s favor to find out if she has any information that will support Thomas Ravenel’s claims.

Ravenel believes that Dennis colluded with another ex-girlfriend – Luzanne Otte – to accuse him of sexual assault, and he is sure that Altschul has inside information about his claims. Ravenel has asked for access to all of the texts and emails between Altschul, Dennis, and Otte that took place after April 1, 2018.

There will also be a deposition

The judge in the custody case has ordered that Patricia Altschul turn over all of that communication, and he has also ruled that she will be deposed for no more than six hours on a not-yet-agreed-upon date.

Altschul’s lawyers argued that she “should not be subjected to hours of questioning regarding issues that are totally irrelevant to this case,” and Thomas Ravenel could easily get this info by talking to other witnesses.

The former South Carolina state treasurer fired back, saying that Altschul should have no problem sitting for a deposition because she has the “energy to be the star of a reality TV show,” so she should be just fine appearing “for one afternoon” to talk about this case.

Thomas Ravenel thinks Patricia Altschul can help his case

Not only does Ravenel believe that Altschul has proof that Dennis colluded with Otte, but he is sure she can give testimony that will help him keep 50/50 custody instead of Dennis winning full custody of their kids Kensie, 5, and Saint, 3.

Since Altschul has known both Ravenel and Dennis for years – and has also seen them both of them with their kids – Ravenel is confident that Altschul’s testimony will contribute to him winning the case.

Is it all about ratings?

Thomas Ravenel has claimed for months that Dennis and Bravo are working together to try to take him down and score big ratings for Southern Charm at the same time. Not long after Dennis filed for primary custody, Ravenel sued Bravo and Southern Charm producers because he didn’t want them airing footage about the custody case.

He claims that Bravo persuaded Dennis to file for custody to create drama and increase ratings, and he also says that they never told him it would be a major storyline.

After Bravo released the Season 6 Southern Charm trailer, Thomas Ravenel requested a court hearing because it featured pictures of his kids and Dennis talking about the case.

Ravenel also pointed to Dennis’ appearance on Watch What Happens Live in May 2019, where he claims Cohen slammed his character and told Dennis that “everyone is rooting for her.”

The accusations are getting nasty

Both Dennis and Ravenel have accused each other of drug use, and a woman named Lara Dawson filed an affidavit claiming that Ravenel has a serious drinking problem. Dawson is the former roommate of Ashley Jacobs – another ex-girlfriend of Ravenel’s – and she submitted a statement and text messages between herself and Jacobs discussing Ravenel.

In addition to the custody battle, Ravenel is also facing assault charges in a criminal case, and this is one of the reasons he wanted to get Patricia Altschul involved. Thomas Ravenel believes the entire world is conspiring against him, and he will do all he can to prove it instead of taking any responsibility for his actions.
