The Cast of ‘Friends’ Just Had the Sweetest Reunion

Friends might have ended 15 years ago, but that doesn’t mean that its stars have lost touch. In fact, they’re all still so close that people have questioned whether there could be a Friends reboot in the future. Recently, Rachel, Phoebe, and Monica (played by Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, and Courtney Cox, respectively) got to together once more, and it was the sweetest thing.

The cast of ‘Friends’ has remained close for the past 15 years

When you work as closely as these men and women did, it makes sense that you’d still have a relationship with them years after things ended. The cast of Friends stood by one another’s side for 10 seasons, and they grew up together off screen in the same way they grew up on screen. Matt LeBlanc, who played Joey Tribbiani on the show, said in 2016 that he still has a special place in his heart for all of his co-stars. “I love all five of them. We spent a lot of time together.” LeBlanc and Matthew Perry, who played Chandler Bing, have remained very close friends since the series came to a close.

Recently, Cox, Aniston, and Kudrow got together for Cox’s birthday

The three leading ladies of Friends never stopped spending a lot of time together. Today, though they’re in their 50s now, the three still get together whenever they can — and birthdays are no exception. Cox recently celebrated her 55th birthday, and Aniston and Kudrow were by her side. She shared a sweet selfie of the three and noted how lucky she was to have them as friends. “how lucky am I to celebrate my birthday with these two??? I love you girls. So much,” Cox captioned the photo. Kudrow went ahead and posted a loving photo with Cox to her own Instagram. (Aniston doesn’t have an Instagram account.) Fans were elated to see the women still had such a close relationship after all these years.

Fans are convinced a reboot is on the way — but some don’t want it

With the cast being so close, some fans can’t help but think it’s only a matter of time until a Friends reboot is announced. Some people even went so far as to create a fake trailer for a reboot, and Aniston had to acknowledge that there was no such thing in the works.

Despite plenty of people going crazy over the idea of a reboot, not everyone is on board. The show’s creator, Marta Kauffman, said the male cast members are on different pages about a reboot. And she’s not sure that there is any more of a story to tell, should there be another show. Plus, people want to remember the characters as the charming 20-somethings they all were, rather than the 50-somethings they are now. Not everyone loves the idea of seeing them 25 years older. For now, it doesn’t look like a reboot is in the cards, but things could always change. Perhaps the cast will decide to make a movie together, rather than a show, which could explain their current stories without having to create a plotline that stretches over several seasons.
