Christie’s dress caused quite a stir on the internet and a debate erupted trying to compare it to different things. The beautiful gown, which looks almost like a Roman-style dress, was created by Gucci. Some people online even compared the garment from everything from religious symbolism to a Roman toga. It was even compared to the Lannister colors and possibly what she might have worn to marry into the Lannister family.

Game of Thrones took an Emmy home for outstanding drama series, to no one’s real surprise. Dinklage even took home another Emmy for his work on the series, which is his fourth for the role as the witty Tyrion Lannister.

David Benioff, an executive producer on the hit series, said on stage: This all started in the demented mind of George R.R. Martin.”

Game of Thrones may be over, but fans are still reeling from the final season of the epic series, and apparently, so are some of the actors. Harington revealed backstage at the Emmys while speaking to reporters that he hasn’t even seen the final season of the series.

“I’ll tell you something… What was it? Controversy. I still haven’t seen the show,” Harington said in regards to the final season. “That’s how I go about controversy. I haven’t seen the final season.”

He also defended the ending which has caused so much heartache with fans. “And controversy, I think for us — we knew what we were doing was right story-wise,” Harington explained. “And we knew that it was right for the characters because we lived with them for 10 years. And I think that kind of set — controversy for us didn’t really affect us.” Fans were glad they got to see the cast reunite one final time.
