A coffee cup was seen in ‘Game of Thrones’

It was almost like a national scandal when a coffee cup, that looked like it was from Starbucks, was spotted in a scene of Game of Thrones. The scene was on a table near Daenerys Targaryen (Clarke).

It didn’t help that the final season of the show as a whole was heavily criticized by fans and received backlash. So, the coffee cup was just one of many moments of the season that had fans raise their eyebrows.

Emilia Clarke says who left the coffee cup

In an interview on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Clarke revealed who the person was that left the cup and how it got there.

“Here’s the truth, we had like a party before the Emmys recently, and Conleth [Hill], who plays Varys, who’s sitting next to me in that scene, he pulls me aside and he’s like, ‘Emilia, I’ve got to tell you something. I’ve got to tell you something, love. The coffee cup was mine!’ It was his! It was Conleth’s coffee cup. He said so.”

Was Emilia Clarke also a suspect?

Clarke went on to explain why Hill didn’t reveal it was him earlier. “He’s like, ‘I think so, I’m sorry darling, I didn’t want to say anything because it seemed the heat was very much on you. And I was like, ‘What?!’”

If it makes Clarke feel better, it seemed like no cast members were originally suspected and most media outlets and fans thought a crew member was the one who left it.

She later said that she only thinks that it was Hill but can’t be totally sure because he was drunk when he said it.

Well, Emilia, if that’s what you say, then we’re going to go with it!
