Owen’s past catches up with him on ‘Grey’s Anatomy’

Owen previously helped dying veterans in pain by illegally giving them drugs to assist their death. He came clean about this to Teddy, and she told him he couldn’t risk their life together like that again.

A man asked for Owen’s help in “Out for Blood.” He wanted drugs for his wife to die with dignity. Owen and Teddy refused, and the man got revenge by telling Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson) about Owen’s crime.

At the end of “You Are the Blood,” Bailey told them she had to call the police. But giving them a head start to escape. Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone) met with the couple to drop off their two kids. The episode ended with the family on a plane together.

Fans shared their reactions to the finale on Reddit. Many of them couldn’t believe the parents are now on the run from the law.

One fan wrote, “this storyline was legit the dumbest thing on this show since ghost sex.”

“And where are they going to find an English language gender therapist who specializes in toddlers to help them navigate Leo’s gender and their reactions??” someone asked.

“It’s a soap opera basically,” a third fan added.

“Maybe next season they’re gonna have a storyline about being on the lam lol,” a person predicted.

Someone else wrote, “owen’s jail era is coming i think.”

Grey’s Anatomy is no stranger to melodrama. Izzie (Katherine Heigl) fell in love with her patient, Denny Duquette (Jeffery Dean Morgan). He died in the season 2 finale, so it was surprising when he appeared in season 5. The fans watched Izzie and Denny hook up.

Later it’s revealed Izzie has a tumor. But many fans couldn’t believe the sex scene led up to that reveal. Heigl was also outspoken against the scene. She withdrew her name from Emmy contention, saying she didn’t feel like the material for the show warranted a nomination that year.

Where will Owen and Teddy be in season 19?

It’s unclear where the couple is going. They haven’t talked about wanting to go to a particular place recently. But obviously, their destination should make it impossible for them to be extradited.

The couple both previously served in the military in Iraq. They’re most likely going to be able to adjust wherever they go.

Fans will have to wait for season 19 for answers. But some feel like the dramatic storyline is unbelievable, even for Grey’s Anatomy.
