Gwen Stefani Stinks at This Sport She Plays With Blake Shelton

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have become America’s new “it” couple. Starring on The Voice together — and making jokes about their homelife while vying for contestants — couldn’t be any cuter, and fans of the show, and the starry-eyed couple, just can’t get enough.

Stefani and Shelton started dating after both of their respective relationships fell through. Stefani was previously married to British musician Gavin Rossdale (they had three children together), while Blake Shelton was married to fellow country icon Miranda Lambert from 2011-2015. As soon as Shelton and Stefani met, the sparks began to fly and the two entered relationship territory quite quickly; however, the two are in no hurry to seal the deal with a wedding.

Shelton and Stefani — from their professional to their personal lives — spend a lot of time together. Gwen Stefani sat down for an interview with Shape Magazine to discuss her personal life, and what she does when the rare occasion arises that she has a day off. Stefani even revealed the sport that she plays with Shelton, yet made clear that she’s not the best at it.

Stefani talks Blake Shelton, family, hobbies, and more

During her interview with Shape magazine, Gwen Stefani discussed fitness, as it’s clear this artist knows how to stay in shape. However, she’s not too hard on herself and focuses on keeping a steady regimen. When she’s not working out and eating healthy, she plays tennis with Blake, but she’s not too great on the court. Stefani stated:

I have no magic thing that I do to stay fit. I eat really clean, do my shows, and work out. I always feel better when I’m in a routine even though I sometimes hate it. I play tennis, badly, with Blake. Then we go to the gym. I like to do squats and lunges and light weights. I don’t go crazy like I used to. I do just enough to make my body feel good.

Gwen Stefani — like most artists who dance and sing on stage, bringing high-caliber entertainment to their audiences — eats clean and hits the gym. It’s that simple. Stefani also occasionally plays Tennis with Blake; however, she apparently is no Serena Williams.

‘The Voice’ coach Gwen Stefani talks finding balance

Working out, eating clean, coaching The Voice, and giving a great show at her Las Vegas residency are all essential in Stefani’s life; however, balance is key to a happy existence. And, Stefani always makes sure to save time for some family fun and relaxation. Stefani stated:

Balance is the hardest thing, but it’s also the most important—being with my family, having time with Blake where we just watch movies. It seems like, with your career, you have to keep swimming, keep moving, or else you’re going to look back and go, ‘Shoot, it’s over.’ I don’t like feeling like that. I want to do creative things when I want, and I want to stop chasing all the time. It’s hard, but I’m really enjoying being in the moment.

It looks like Gwen Stefani has found the secret to success and happiness. And while she may not slay on the tennis court, at least she finds time to play.
