Sevigny revealed in January that she was expecting a baby with her boyfriend Sinisa Mačković. Recently, she shared that she and her BF were having trouble choosing a name, even though she was days away from giving birth.
“Our baby’s due in 8 days and we don’t have a name yet,” she said in a Q&A with Homme Girls, People reported.
In her post announcing Vanja’s arrival, Sevigny expressed her gratitude for the medical professionals who were there during her labor and delivery.

Sevigny shared her thoughts on preparing to give birth during a pandemic
Over the past couple of months, Sevigny — who lives in NYC — has shared her thoughts on preparing to give birth during a pandemic. In a post from a few days before Vanja’s arrival, she wrote that “this baby is due any second!” and added that “I’m as big as our collective love for NYC!”
In late March, she expressed her worries about New York City hospitals barring womens’ partners from delivery rooms because of coronavirus (COVID-19) concerns.
“I hope all expecting families are finding some calm. Today’s news in NY was very distressing for all,” she wrote.
Hospitals were later ordered to allow a spouse or birthing partner in the room when a woman delivered her baby. It’s not clear if Mačković was present with Sevigny when she gave birth at Mt. Sinai Hospital. The hospital currently allows moms to have one support partner with them in the labor and delivery unit, along with a doula, provided they are free of COVID-19 symptoms.
