The Real Reason Why Hannah Brown Isn’t Dating Right Now
After her wild journey on The Bachelorette, fans want to see Hannah Brown dating someone who can keep up with the Dancing With the Stars contestant. In the past few months, viewers have paired Brown with Tyler Cameron and even her DWTS partner, Alan Bersten. However, it seems like Brown is perfectly fine with being single, especially now that she has the Mirrorball Trophy in her sights.
Hannah Brown doesn’t have time to date because she’s focused on ‘Dancing With the Stars’
On Nov. 8, Brown stopped by On Air With Ryan Seacrest. And the Bachelorette alum spilled the tea on moving in Los Angeles — only there wasn’t exactly any tea to spill. The DWTS contestant has been a little preoccupied with the reality competition. So she doesn’t have the time to think about anything else.
“I don’t know what it’s like to live in L.A. because I only know the dance studio and the studio where I perform,” Brown said. “And then I order Postmates.”
Seacrest’s co-host, Tanya Rad, then invited Brown to her “Not-Wives-Yet” club, where Rad introduces her friends to other “hot single men” on a girls’ night out. But Brown revealed she hasn’t gone out with a group of gal pals because of her busy schedule.
“It hasn’t happened because I all do is dance,” Brown said. The former Bachelorette also shared that she practices for DWTS about eight hours a day. Nevertheless, Brown hopes her hard work — and lack of social life — pays off.
“I just feel like I have so much more, even now, to show everybody what I’ve got. And I have really put everything into this and have not been able to have the girls nights and a social life,” Brown explained. “So if I’m this close, by George, I have my eyes on that Mirrorball Trophy. I just want not just to win, but to know that I should win.”
Hannah Brown is interested in dating — but she wants someone with a career
Although Brown is focused on winning DWTS, it appears she’s still interested in dating. When speaking with Seacrest and Rad, Brown wondered how people meet in L.A. Rad then suggested the online dating app, Hinge. However, Brown had her doubts.
“Do they actually have a career?” she alum asked. “I’m so over people that just want to be [Instagram famous].”
The Bachelorette alum also defended her decision to go on the ABC reality series, insisting she didn’t want to be on the show to become an influencer.
“I went on a reality TV show, not really understanding. I didn’t watch the show before,” Brown said. “And now that people follow me on Instagram, it’s kind of weird and I don’t want to be an influencer.”
That said, Brown understands she still has the opportunity to become an influencer after DWTS wraps. But she’s frustrated with individuals who use their reality TV platform with the sole purpose of becoming an influencer online.
“Of course, I had that opportunity and there will be times where I’ll decide this is something I want to do or not. But that’s not my main focus at all,” she said. “I feel like a lot of people who go on reality TV, like, that is the goal and they’re fine with that. That is infuriating, especially when you have someone like me that’s really pure going into it. And then you get freaked over. I just can’t deal with it.”
Regardless, Brown is firm on her stance — she wants to be with someone who already has an established career outside the limelight of social media.
“I really want somebody that is a professional that already has their crap together. And that would almost encourage me to get out, like not do the influencer thing — to really have a real career,” she said.
Obviously, fans of The Bachelor franchise want their favorite contestants to find love. But just because Brown didn’t find her match on The Bachelorette, doesn’t mean she didn’t discover the greatest love of her life — herself. From Brown’s statements, it’s clear she is focused on what she needs. And right now, that isn’t a new dating partner — it’s winning the Mirrorball Trophy.
