Hannah Brown Is Excited To Be Back On TV With ‘DWTS’ In A Way That ‘Doesn’t Have to Involve a Man’
It was recently announced that Brown will be joining the cast of Dancing With The Stars this season, and she couldn’t be more excited.
“I am so excited about this to continue sharing my life with America, but in a different way and that’s through dance. So being very vulnerable and sharing my story that doesn’t have to involve a man,” Brown told Entertainment Tonight.
Brown is probably sick and tired of answering questions about her ex, Tyler Cameron, who’s currently dating supermodel Gigi Hadid. In an interview with People, Brown said that her focus isn’t on dating right now–it’s on “Hannah.”
“I am totally focused on Hannah and with this new chapter in my life,” she told People.
Hannah Brown promises to be ‘authentic and real’ on ‘DWTS’
Just coming off of filming The Bachelorette, Brown’s no stranger to sharing her life with the American public. She says she’s ready to continue being candid and showing audiences that it’s OK to be yourself.
“I think I was put into this position for some reason and I think people need to see people with this platform being really authentic and real and showing real emotions. And I don’t know how to be anything other than that. And so I’m OK with it,” she told ET. “If I’m gonna… have these opportunities I might as well use them to share something in common with the rest of the world and people. And that’s just some days being happy, and some days being sad, and having all the in-between, and making people feel like that’s OK to be.”
She also told the publication that she’s been asking past Dancing With The Stars participants for tips.
“I talked to Ginger [Zee] from Good Morning America… talked to Bobby Bones… Everybody has been just very supportive,” she said.
As for the advice she’s received: hard work pays off.
“Be ready for it to be… very hard. Some days you want to quit, but that it’s going to be the best experience of your life,” she recalls her colleagues telling her. “So it’s kind of scary, but also I’m very excited just to have fun with it and so I can have fun. I have to have fun.”
Hannah Brown is taking ‘Dancing With The Stars’ very seriously
Brown hypothesizes that her biggest competitors will be comedian Kel Mitchell and Ally Brooke of Fifth Harmony.
“His dance moves, ugh. Kel is my competition. I think so. And Ally! Yeah, ’cause she’s got some moves,” she said. “But it’s OK, I haven’t shown all my moves just yet. I have some in my back pocket.”
Brown told People that though she’s definitely competing to win, she’s more focused on bettering herself than beating out the other contestants.
“Of course I want to win. You don’t compete in something if that’s not your goal, you should always want to succeed,” she said. “But I just want to continue getting better and better each week and have that competition for myself, not with the other contestants.”
