Hannah Brown Says She’ll Be ‘OK’ Even If She Isn’t ‘The Bachelorette’ Again
Hannah Brown was a force of nature in The Bachelorette Season 15. Until the very end, the 25-year-old was unapologetically herself and carved out her own path to find love. But as we know, things didn’t exactly work out with her final pick, Jed Wyatt. Now, as Peter Weber’s season of The Bachelor is winding down, fans want to see Brown as The Bachelorette lead again for the 16th season. Nevertheless, the Dancing With the Stars champion knows she’ll be fine no matter what’s on the horizon.
Will Hannah Brown be ‘The Bachelorette’ again in 2020?
Ahead of The Bachelor Season 24 premiere, Chris Harrison teased Brown could be the next bachelorette… again.
“Look, anything’s possible. I’m not against it,” Harrison told Us Weekly. “Ithink the things that make us love her so much — and I’m included in that and adore her — is she is so open and honest and just, she’s a train wreck. You get to see the good, the bad and the ugly in Hannah and that’s a rare thing in any human being.”
But even so, the host confirmed Bachelor Nation fan response will tell producers who should be the next lead of the franchise.
“Do people want to see it again? I don’t know,” Harrison said. “I guess we’ll see what Bachelor Nation thinks.”
Then in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Brown shared her thoughts on becoming the bachelorette for a second round. And while she appreciated her time on the franchise, Brown wants to find love again on her own terms.
“There is that like, weird… a desire in my heart to find somebody,” Brown said. “Do I have to do that as being the bachelorette? No. But it is I think something that can work and has worked for other people.”
She continued: “There’s a lot of good that comes out of it too. I would never, like, completely bash the Bachelor franchise. I think it’s had a lot of success in the people that are together are very happy together. So, of course, I want that, but it doesn’t have to be as the bachelorette.”
Hannah Brown explains why she’ll be fine without being ‘The Bachelorette’ again
On Feb. 13, Brown appeared at Scrubbing In with Becca Tilley & Tanya Rad’s live show in Los Angeles Brown delved deeper into the possibility of becoming the bachelorette again. At first, the DWTS winner echoed her previous statement when speaking with Entertainment Tonight.
“I think being the bachelorette is a way to find love. I don’t think it’s my only option, though,” Brown said, hinting she still has hope for a coffee shop meet-cute. But even so, she confirmed “there was a lot of good” that came from the ABC reality series.
Later, Brown detailed why she isn’t sure about being the bachelorette for the second time.
“I don’t know if I would do it right now. I’m really trying to focus on what I have right now — and that’s building a home and other opportunities,” she said. “I might not have found love. But I did find myself. I have more confidence in what I can do and I’m working towards that.”
Brown continued: “I got a weird platform to have a career in a way I never thought I would. And to be able to have a community that’s so great, that supports me. My ‘Team Hannah B’ people are the best and have my back. So really focusing on that.”
Even so, Brown acknowledged her desire to find someone special. However, it doesn’t dictate her every move.
“I don’t need a man. I want a man. And I think that’s OK,” she said. “I’m just learning to be patient and to find happiness in where I’m at now.”
Then at the end of the podcast, Brown revealed she is satisfied with her life, whether or not she decides to date on TV.
“I think I’m going to be OK regardless,” she said.
