Hannah G. Wishes ‘The Bachelor’ Would Have Shown More of Her Scenes With Colton, Says She Was Robbed
Hannah Godwin and Colton Underwood had a strong connection on this last season of The Bachelor. Colton awarded her the first impression rose and the couple had undeniable chemistry from that moment forward. When he broke up with her in Portugal to pursue the woman who just broke up with him, Hannah G. and all of us watching along at home were shocked.
Hannah G. has said in several post-Bachelor interviews that she thought watching the season back would provide her with some of the answers she was so desperately seeking. It didn’t. She still saw a strong connection between her and Colton, and she still didn’t see the breakup coming.
On the other hand, though, Hannah G., was surprised to see how many of her interactions with Colton were either cut out or cut short.
Hannah G.’s hot and heavy one-on-one with Colton in Vietnam
Her one-on-one with Colton in Vietnam, for example, consisted of the two making out for the entirety of the date, or so the episode showed.
“It was definitely a part of our date but when I watched it I was literally like ‘Oh my gosh I am so sorry mom, dad, teachers I used to have, professors…’ That was definitely just a small portion of how that date went. We got to hang out so much. We walked around in our robes and we ended up having tea and talking and talking about things I was kind of struggling with being there,” she told Olivia Caridi in a recent interview on her podcast, Mouthing Off. “Even in the mud bath we were talking about how we grew up and […] really just kind of figuring out if this many weeks in we still had the connection we had the first night, and we did.”
She also spoke to Olivia about how the show made it look like she made a point to stay out of all the mansion drama. She had an opinion, in particular, about all the “right reasons” drama, but none of her interviews ever got aired.
The scene Hannah G. wishes ‘The Bachelor’ would have shown
But the scene that got cut that most mattered to Hannah G. was the scene where Colton told her he’d been falling in love with her since the first night.
“They cut that out and I was like ‘what?’ I didn’t really care to see it but I think it definitely kind of robbed me of this relationship that I took so seriously for months. Everybody was probably like ‘why was she so upset?’ It was because all of this stuff happened and nobody saw the reasons why and I thought it was a big part of my life,” she said.
At the end of the day, Hannah G. knows it was nothing personal.
“It might just come down to better things made better TV. I think, for me, I was just kinda shocked at home how much was taken out. But at the same time it’s like, I’m not always the most outspoken one, I’m not always the one having the most crazy, serious, deepest conversation you’ve ever heard,” she told Olivia.
