Harry Potter Fans Will Definitely Want to Line Up For This Sneaker Release!

Harry Potter fans who also happen to like sneakers are in luck. Vans, the company that has traditionally produced skate-inspired shoes, are jumping into the motion picture game. The sneaker and apparel company has officially released a line of Harry Potter themed sneakers, and fans are gobbling them up. Not only do they hit the style points needed to look ridiculously cool, but the company has worked closely with Warner Bros. to ensure that each shoe in the collection embodies the true spirit of Harry Potter

What is included in the Vans x Harry Potter collection?

Unlike other brands that have collaborated with movies and pop culture icons, Vans isn’t just releasing one pair of shoes. In fact, there is a pretty expansive collection to fit any fanatic’s needs.

The Sk8-Hi model shoe in the collection is outfitted in a Gryffindor theme, while the Era style Vans is reworked to incorporate elements for Slytherin. The company has also released one of their Authentic model sneakers in a Ravenclaw theme, complete with a traditional blue and grey checkerboard pattern.

The Comfy Cush style shoe has been reimagined with a newsprint pattern featuring The Daily Prophet. Don’t worry Hufflepuff fans; there is a sneaker to fit that fandom, too. The Classic Slip-On is outfitted with the Hufflepuff crest to round out the collection. Kids shoes, backpacks, and socks are also available for superfans.

Vans isn’t the first shoe company to work with a motion picture house

While the Harry Potter collection from Vans is undoubtedly a welcome sight for fans of both sneakers and the prolific series, they aren’t the first sneaker company to team up with a production house. Back in May, Puma released a series of sneakers to coincide with the Sonic the Hedgehog Movie. While the movie’s release date was pushed back after fans reacted negatively to the stylistic rendering of Sonic, the shoes still hit the market.

An additional pair of Speed 500s are expected to drop soon, according to Complex. The newest release is the actual shoes that Sonic appears to be wearing in the widely despised movie posters for the film. Puma also crafted a series of Minion-themed sneakers. The Roma sneaker was among the most popular.

Nike is also in the movie-inspired sneaker game. The trainer giant has released sneakers inspired by movies for decades. In 2008, for example, they released a pair of Nike Dunk’s inspired by Ferris Beuler’s Day Off. They’ve also crafted sneakers inspired by The Fantastic Four, and Transformers.
