Has ‘Cash Me Outside’ Girl Danielle Bregoli Really Changed or is She Still Stirring Up Trouble?
A few years ago a 13-year-old girl with a bad attitude appeared with her mother on Dr. Phil during a segment called “I Want To Give Up My Car-Stealing, Knife-Wielding, Twerking 13-Year-Old Daughter Who Tried To Frame Me For a Crime.” At one point in the show, the teen directed her attention to the audience and uttered the words “cash me outside, how ’bout dat.” No one knew at the time but that phrase would catapult Danielle Bergoli into fame.
Once the show aired on network television Dr. Phil’s worst guest became known as the “Cash me Outside” girl. Dr. Phil’s intention was to help Bregoli clean up her act but it was her infamous line and bad behavior that she was really able to cash in on.
Following her initial appearance on the talk show in 2016, Bregoli created her own line of clothing with her signature catchphrase printed on the pieces. She was also featured in the music video “Everything 1K’ by Kodak Black. But she couldn’t stay out of trouble and in 2017, was given five years probation after pleading guilty to grand theft auto, possession of marijuana, and filing a false police report. That same year, Bregoli was banned from Spirit Airlines for life after she punched another passenger who got into an argument with her mother.
But then in a surprise twist the Boynton Beach, Florida teen began a successful music career. Today, she raps under the stage name Bhad Bhabie and several of her singles have hit the Billboard Hot 100 charts making her the youngest female rap artist to debut on the chart. She’s also garnered millions of streams for her singles on Spotify and was even nominated for a Billboard Music Award in the top rap female artist category against stars like Cardi B and Nicki Minaj.
In 2018, Bregoli embarked on her international tour called “Bhanned in USA” and recently told the Australian publication The Daily Telegraph that she has changed since her Dr. Phil days. But has she?
Bregoli says she has changed now
Bregoli reflected on previous antics and how she acted on Dr. Phil saying that she has grown up since that time.
“I am used to people seeing only that one side of me and now they have no other choice but to accept that is in the past, that is old. Everyone is a child once. Everyone learns and grows up and 13 to 15 is a huge difference and people don’t understand that,” she explained. “Going from 30 to 32, wow, big deal, 20 to 22 wow, big deal but 13 to 15 is a huge difference. These two years of my life have been the longest two years in my life.”
Bregoli did show signs of maturity in that interview and admits she has taken advice about how to engage with her audience onstage. However, her potty-mouthed rants in between songs are likely to continue since they’re unscripted.
She has beef with Iggy Azalea
So while Bregoli does seem to have grown and learned from the teenage girl who shot into infamy and became a global meme with six little words, she has been stirring up a little trouble with a certain female rapper for a while now.
Bregoli dissed Iggy Azalea in a track titled “Hi Bich.” She also dragged her on Instagram. Then when they both attended Cardi B’s Fashion Nova party, Bregoli threw a drink at Azalea, who responded by bringing up the teen’s past with Dr. Phil and saying she wasn’t going to fight a child.
Bregoli fired back via Instagram and while performing at The Enmore Theatre in Sydney, when she told fans that the “Fancy” artist wasn’t famous anymore after someone in the crowd asked her who her least favorite celebrity was.
After the audience started yelling Azalea’s name, Bregoli said, ‘That’s not really even a celebrity! Right now, I don’t know who would take that place.”
But none of her beef or bad behavior really matters because as long as she continues to turn out hits, her fans will be there.
