Here Are All the Celebs Joining Oprah on Her Wellness Tour
Media mogul Oprah Winfrey has been sharing her favorite things and book club favorites, but she’s also full speed ahead on a number of work projects. In case you missed it, she’s planning the rollout of her tour next year, titled “Oprah’s 2020 Vision: Your Life in Focus.” The news was first shared in September by Oprah and her team, and stops will take place only in the U.S. in nine cities.
Promoted as a transformational event, Oprah’s wellness tour promises to welcome a celebrity guest at each location who will share anecdotes about their own personal journeys. The tour kicks off on Jan. 4 in Fort Lauderdale, and will include stops in all over the country. Here’s the list of which celebs will be appearing at which tour stop, including Michelle Obama, J. Lo, and Tina Fey.
Jan. 4 – Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Lady Gaga will be on site to help Oprah launch the tour. Recently, the pop star opened up to Oprah in an Elle interview where she discussed her mental health struggles, her career, her beauty brand, and being a survivor. She also touched on her charitable foundation which helps young people with their mental health challenges.
Jan. 11 – St. Paul, Minnesota
Tina Fey, like Oprah and the other guests, will discuss her own experiences and wellness habits.
Jan. 18 – Charlotte, North Carolina
Amy Schumer will hit the tour in Charlotte. Since giving birth to her first child in May, the actress/comedienne has been open about the physical challenges she experienced during her pregnancy as well as her post-partum love for her body.
Jan. 25 – Atlanta
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson stops in ATL! Although none of the celebrities’ conversation topics have been shared, The Rock has been vocal about his past battles with depression. He’s also an avid fitness buff and wants to change the stigma surrounding mental health issues for men.
Feb. 8 – Brooklyn, New York
None other than Michelle Obama will be sitting down with Oprah for the New York leg. The former first lady wrapped up a book tour for her memoir, Becoming, this past spring, and released a companion journal for it this November. She’s advocating finding one’s voice.
Feb. 15 – Dallas, Texas
Actress Tracee Ellis Ross joins Oprah in Texas and it should be noted she recently spoke to the New York Times, opening up about her childhood with mom Diana Ross as well as her budding beauty line. She’s often spotted on Instagram experimenting with face rollers and hair care tools.
Feb. 22 – San Francisco, California
Actress, athletic wear entrepreneur, and mom Kate Hudson will be on hand in Golden Gate City at the Chase Center.
Feb. 29 – Los Angeles
Jennifer Lopez is a busy woman these days, but fans would probably love to hear what she shares about her wellness regimen and journey as a entrepreneur, performer, and mother.
Mar. 7 – Denver, Colorado
For the last stop, Oprah’s BFF Gayle King will be in the building to wrap things up.
Oprah is conducting the tour in partnership with Weight Watchers and ticket prices range from $69.50 to $299.99. Fans should visit this Weight Watchers site for more information.
