Congratulations are in order for Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin!
About a year after they secretly tied the knot in a New York City courthouse, Bieber and Baldwin had a second, larger wedding on Sept. 30. The ceremony went down at a fancy resort in Bluffton, South Carolina, with close friends and family watching as they exchanged vows.
The “Baby” crooner just posted the first photos from the event, and it looks like a moment that they’ll never forget. That said, let’s take a closer look and Bieber and Baldwin’s second wedding.
The lead-up to the ceremony
Bieber and Baldwin reportedly spent months planning their second wedding, which was pretty informal.
A source told Entertainment Tonight that “sentimentality” was the theme of the event. So rather than cashing out on fancy food or elaborate decorations, Bieber and Baldwin selected “details and activities which had personal meaning to them and their relationship.”
The day before the wedding, 154 guests, including Kendall Jenner and Usher, got to enjoy activities like a carnival-themed extravaganza, boat trips, and a screening of The Notebook (2004.)
They also hung out at a bowling alley, which has a special meaning to the singers, given that they met at one. The alley was lit up with purple lights, which is Bieber’s favorite color.
Bieber and Baldwin’s wedding day
Bieber and Baldwin tied the knot on Sept. 30 at the Montage Palmetto Bluff.
“The Montage has long been like a second home to Justin,” a source told People. “He many times escaped to the Montage when he needed some quiet time. They both love the Palmetto Bluff Montage.”
Before the ceremony, guests enjoyed pre-ceremony cocktails in the Inn lobby lounge.
“Following the vows, guests were escorted to the post-ceremony cocktail hour ahead of the formal reception with plated dinner at the Wilson Ballroom,” a source told the publication.
Grammy Award-winning singer Daniel Caesar, who is best known for the H.E.R.-assisted song “Best Part,” reportedly performed at the reception.
Bieber later posted the cutest pictures from the event. They showed him wearing a white dress shirt with a black bowtie and sleek hair. Baldwin, on the other hand, looked stunning in a white gown with a halter neck.
Bieber and Baldwin could not be happier
Just before the wedding, sources told Entertainment Tonight that they were ecstatic to celebrate their love again.
Baldwin had reportedly been pampering herself and had just had a bachelorette party. And Bieber “was looking forward to showing everyone the love he and Hailey share.”
“Justin has been through a lot in the past with his family, and he is looking forward to celebrating the special day with everyone,” the source said. “[He] has had his ups and downs but Hailey is his constant rock through tough times like this. Justin is going into his upcoming wedding weekend in a very good place, looking forward to showing everyone the love he and Hailey share.”
Aww! Well, congratulations to them again.
