Hilary Duff Is Filming ‘Younger’ Season 6 But She’s Missing Someone Special
Actress and singer Hilary Duff, who many still know best from her starring role on the Disney Channel series Lizzie McGuire, is doing very well for herself. She’s the epitome of millennial, keeping her fans up-to-date on her work, relationships, and children via social media. During these early months of 2019, Duff has been hard at work filming Season 6 of Younger. Here’s what you need to know about the star, the series, and who she’s missing on set.
Duff portrays Kelsey on Younger
Since the series premiered in 2015, Duff has played Kelsey Peters on Younger. Kelsey is a young editor at a book publishing company in New York City. She befriends the main character, Liza Miller, a 40-year-old who pretends to be in her late-20s in order to get a job. Audiences have followed Kelsey through relationships, career hurdles, and learning the truth about Liza over the past five seasons.
The series shoots in New York City
Though many shows that take place in New York
However, when she’s not filming Duff is based in Los Angeles. She lives in LA with her boyfriend, musician Matthew Koma, their daughter, Banks, and her son Luca from her marriage to hockey player Mike Comrie.
Duff posted about missing her son
Though she appears to have four-month-old Banks with her most of the time during filming (as you’d expect with an infant), Duff hasn’t shared as many images of her son, Luca, over the past couple of weeks since filming began. That’s likely because she shares custody of him with Comrie, and because he’s turning seven this month, Luca is likely in school back in Los Angeles.
But being the working mom that she is, Duff has been flying back-and-forth between the coasts when she can and FaceTiming with her eldest when she can’t. And it looks as though Koma is a very present father and step-father, despite also maintaining a busy schedule.
The Younger co-stars are all about babies
Duff isn’t the only mom with young kids on set. Sutton Foster, who plays Liza, also has a daughter: Two-year-old Emily. The co-stars spoke in an interview about getting their daughters together recently before filming began. Foster also mentioned that Luca was about the same age as Emily is now when they first started shooting Season 1 of Younger.
When does Season 6 premiere?
There are a few things you need to know about Younger Season 6. For one thing, the show is coming back on a new network. Instead of airing on TV Land, it will be a part of the newly established Paramount Network.
The series is set to air on Thursday nights, beginning sometime this spring. Though they’re only a few weeks into filming, each season only features 12 30-minute episodes, so it likely won’t be too long until we hear that filming is complete. As Duff said in her Instagram caption, the “Count down izzzz ooon.”
