New speculation about Affleck’s upcoming solo Batman movie has unveiled a potential setting for the film. According to a rumor on the website Batman On Film, the forthcoming movie could take place in Arkham Asylum…at least partially. Sources told the site that The Dark Knight will be locked up for some stretch of time, although it’s unclear exactly how long or why.

The rumor does seem to fit in with previous speculations that the movie will be crammed with villains. Still, nothing has been confirmed yet and Affleck himself has said the script is still evolving, so take this rumor with a grain of salt for now.

2. Batwoman and Constantine may appear on The CW’s DC Comic shows

The CW’s lineup of comic book-inspired series may be about to see an influx of DC Comic characters. The website Bleeding Cool claims Batwoman, Oracle (Barbara Gordon), and John Constantine are among some of the characters expected to make appearances. According to their report, Kathy/Kate Kane and her alter ego, Batwoman, will appear on Supergirl in a recurring role. She will be Maggie Sawyer’s ex, whose adventures as Batwoman occasionally take her to National City.

According to the site, Barbara Gordon will appear as Oracle on Supergirl so as not to cause confusion between Batwoman and Batgirl. Per the report, Barbara Gordon will develop a strong friendship with Supergirl. As for Constantine, Bleeding Cool speculates that actor Matt Ryan could get a deal to become a recurring character across The CW’s DC Universe (similar to the contract Wentworth Miller recently struck with the network).

This all remains speculation at this point, but fans can expect to find out more details from San Diego’s Comic-Con this week.

3. James Franco might be starring in Predator

Shane Black’s upcoming Predator movie may have found its leading man. Rumor has it that the film is looking to cast Franco as the film’s protagonist. Per Comicbook.com, Black was first looking at more established action stars, like Ben Affleck, Christian Bale, and Tom Hardy, but is now eyeing the 11/22/63 star instead.

Casting has yet to be confirmed, so it remains to be seen if the rumor will come to fruition. But an announcement will likely be made relatively soon, as filming is expected to commence in Vancouver this fall. Predator is set to be released on February 9, 2018.

After that controversial Season 6 cliffhanger finale, it’s safe to say that The Walking Dead has a lot to live up to in the Season 7 premiere. But while it’s been confirmed that fans will find out who Negan’s victim is in the opening episode of the season, it remains unclear just how long into that episode it will take to get an answer.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Greg Nicotero refused to reveal how soon the premiere will return to the scene of the crime, instead teasing a unique structure to the episode. “Obviously, we’ll find out in the first episode,” Nicotero said when asked how quickly Negan’s victim is going to be revealed. He then added, “Truthfully, in terms of the structure of it, we’re still editing it right now. We’re still playing around with that particular episode. It’s not finished yet so I really can’t say.”

Fans will have to stay tuned to find out. The Walking Dead Season 7 will return to AMC in October.

5. Game of Thrones may film in Iceland next year

HBO’s epic fantasy series has already gotten the green light for a seventh season and it seems like the show may be moving to colder climates for the occasion. New reports suggest that the next season of Game of Thrones will be shot partly in Iceland. The rumor hails from the Icelandic site, Vísir.is, which reported that HBO met with a local production company to set up filming in Iceland for January 2017. This wouldn’t be the first time that the show shot there. Game of Thrones previously filmed in Iceland for some wintery scenes north of The Wall, but this report suggests that the Season 7 filming will incorporate at least “six major characters.”

The rumor has yet to be confirmed. What we do know is that Game of Thrones will likely be getting a later production start for its next season. As Game of Thrones creator David Benioff said on a recent UFC Unfiltered podcast, “We don’t have an air date yet. We’re starting a bit later because at the end of this season, ‘Winter is here’ — and that means that sunny weather doesn’t really serve our purposes any more. So we kind of pushed everything down the line, so we could get some grim, grey weather even in the sunnier places that we shoot.”
