Kel Mitchell is celebrating holiday foods with Tiffani Thiessen, Angela Kinsey, and Tim Chantarangsu on ‘Deliciousness’

Deliciousness is a spinoff of Rob Dyrdek‘s hilarious series Ridiculousness.  Instead of examining viral stunt videos, Mitchell and his cohorts are taking a look at some of the internet’s most viral food videos.

Hosted by Saved by the Bell star Thiessen, the MTV series highlights “the only thing people love more than delicious food — delicious food fails.” Mitchell’s fellow panelists include The Office‘s Kinsey and Basic to Bougie co-host Chantarangsu.

“They’re both funny, hilarious comedians,” Mitchell said of his co-stars. “Angela’s awesome. Tim, we know each other from Wild ‘n Out because I guest-starred. It’s just so much fun [working with them].”

There will be plenty of sweet potato pie in Kel Mitchell’s holiday plans

Mitchell, who considers himself a foodie, was excited to join the Deliciousness cast. When he’s not barbecuing free-range turkey — he said he’s something of a “pit boss!” — he is consuming his favorite holiday food, sweet potato pie.

I love sweet potato pie,” Mitchell admitted. “It is so good. When it’s the holidays, it’s kind of like we have to have sweet potato pie.”

Mitchel explained how no holiday occasion is complete without the sweet dessert, adding how he’ll often walk into a gathering and immediately ask: “‘Where is the sweet potato pie?'”

Fans can expect to hear Mitchell rave more about his affinity for the holiday favorite on Deliciousness

Kel Mitchell and his family plan to have fun on Zoom for the holidays

Outside of his regularly scheduled sweet potato pie consumption, Mitchell has plenty of digital plans this holiday season. Thanks to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, holiday gatherings are extremely altered this year. Fortunately for Mitchell and many of us, there are plenty of digital platforms ready to help keep us connected.

“[We’ll] definitely [connect on] Zoom because we can’t have everybody in one house like we usually do,” Mitchell told Showbiz. Mitchell, his wife, Asia Lee, and their four children, Honor, Wisdom, Allure, and Lyric, have plans for a fun and safe Zoom gathering this holiday.

“[Of course] we’re going to have sweet potato pie,” Mitchell laughed. “That’s going to be there.”

In addition to the all-important holiday food, Mitchell’s family Zoom calls are a unique family affair. They incorporate fun and games to keep everyone engaged.

“[My family and I] found out just eating during the Zoom is kind of weird,” Mitchell said. “[Now,] we like to do like talent shows [and] we like to play games. We [had a Zoom call like that] on Thanksgiving and we did [another one] during my son’s baby shower.”

Mitchell and his wife welcomed a baby boy, Honor Mitchell, on Oct. 23, 2020.

“So we’re going to do the same thing again, play some games,” he said of their holiday plans.

Fans can hear more from Mitchell on new episodes of Deliciousness beginning Dec. 14, 2020 on MTV.
