How Deena Cortese Really Feels About Filming ‘Jersey Shore’ After Having a Baby

The family on Jersey Shore is only getting bigger. That’s because Deena Cortese and her husband, Christopher Buckner had a baby boy.

The cast has talked about filming being different all these years later because they now have kids. Now Cortese is claiming the same thing. Find out what she has to say about filming and more.

Deena Cortese gave birth to a baby boy

The reality star announced that she gave birth to a baby boy on Jan 5. She posted a video of the baby sleeping on Instagram.

She wrote in the caption, “Our Little Man has finally arrived Christopher John Buckner (CJ) born January 5th at 4:41 pm at a whopping 20.5 inches..6 Lb 8.5 ounces Uhg mommy and daddy love you so much CJ .. youre [sic] our everything i [sic] never thought i [sic] could love Chris anymore than i [sic] did until i [sic] saw him hold CJ.”

Her husband also posted a picture of the little one. He wrote in the caption, “I always knew my wife was one of the strongest woman I know but these past 2 days proved it. I couldn’t be a more proud husband, and now a father to our perfect baby boy CJ.”

She said filming now is a double-edge sword

Deena Cortese talked about returning to work after having the baby. She seems to be very conflicted about it.

“The show is an opportunity for my family,” she told Us Weekly. “It’s such a headspace. I want to just be with him 24/7, but at the same time this show gives him opportunities and I love being with my roommates. So it’s such a double-edged sword, you know?”

The reality star continued, “But at the end of the day, I know the show is good for him and I have to work too. Luckily … I can be mostly a stay-at-home mom. It just takes me away here and there.”

Nicole Polizzi said she had anxiety from filming after having a baby

Cortese is certainly not the only cast member to talk about wanting to be with her kids after giving birth. Nicole Polizzi talked about this struggle in a YouTube video.

“I can’t really tell you what happened, but I’ll let you know that filming the rest of this season, I already had anxiety because I just had a frickin’ baby,” Polizzi said. “So, leaving my 2-month-old to film and by the way, I went home that night to take care of him. But they’re not going to play that for the show. It’s gonna look like I slept there.”

She then said, “But leaving the baby all day to hang out with the roomies and go out, it’s … not something I do every day. I don’t know I had anxiety leaving the baby.”

This explanation was after a video on TMZ showed Polizzi storming away while filming for the show. She was heard saying, “I want to go home to my kids. That’s where I belong. I hate this sh*t.”

It sounds like being away from the kids and filming is hard for the cast. Fans will have to keep watching to see how the new mother will deal with adjusting.
