How Does Meghan Markle Know Which Rules to Break Without Upsetting Queen Elizabeth Too Much?
Meghan Markle is one of the newest members of the royal family, and she has been in the spotlight ever since her relationship to Prince Harry was announced. For the past few years, fans have been admiring many things about Meghan, especially her style. Her look is natural and elegant, and many people enjoy copying what she wears. Meghan always looks amazing, making it no surprise that most of the outfits she steps out in sell out almost instantly.
The Duchess of Sussex is known for her tendency to break the royal rules and protocol, and always manages to get away with it when she does. She does her own thing without being defiant, raising the question as to how Meghan knows which rules to break without upsetting Queen Elizabeth too much. Let’s take a look at exactly how she knows how far she can go.
Meghan Markle is no stranger to bending the rules
Even before her wedding to Harry, Meghan did things her own way. She loves to put her own spin on everything, and she doesn’t let the rules of royal life stop her from doing what she likes. Meghan has a style that has come to be known as the “Meghan Effect,” and we couldn’t imagine her dressing any other way. In addition to this, Meghan’s distinctive taste and bright, bold personality are two of the things that she is most admired for, although it doesn’t always align with the wishes of her grandmother-in-law, Queen Elizabeth.
When has Meghan Markle broken royal rules?
Never one to let anyone tell her what to do, Meghan seems to bend or break the rules fairly often, even more so than Kate Middleton. She almost never wears pantyhose and has even been seen sporting an above the knee length dress more than once. Meghan proudly wore dark nail polish at the British Fashion Awards, a definite dislike of the queen, and didn’t try to hide her color choice one bit!
There are plenty of other rules that Meghan has broken since joining the royal family. She had a New York City baby shower, attended by some of her celebrity friends, including Serena Williams and Amal Clooney.
Photographers braved the snow and ice to try and capture as many pictures as possible of the glowing duchess and her guests. Also, she and Harry do not shy away from PDA, as they can often be seen with their arms around each other or holding hands, even in the presence of her majesty. For her first Trooping the Colour, Meghan opted for an off-the-shoulder dress, a fashion choice that was totally unexpected, although we have to say she looked absolutely fabulous.
Prince Harry supports Meghan Markle’s choices
She may have a reputation for going against royal protocol, but Harry supports his wife all the way. When she reaches for his hand in public, he happily holds on, and he always looks at his wife lovingly, even when she is technically going against the queen’s wishes. It is wonderful to see Meghan taking her own path, even in her new role as the Duchess of Sussex, and continuing to do exactly what she feels is right.
