How Does Meghan Markle Relax and Escape All the Drama?
Meghan Markle’s life has been chock full of drama ever since she became a member of the royal family. Sure, as a Hollywood actress she has dealt with her fair share of shenanigans but ever since going royal things have gotten out of hand.
With the odds against her and a sea full of haters at her back 24/7, how does the controversial Duchess carve out “me” time?
Markle loves a good downward dog
It’s no secret; the Duchess of Sussex is all about healthy living. So much so that she quickly got to work encouraging Prince Harry to get on the up and up when they first moved in together!
One of her favorite go-to workouts is yoga! Markle has been an avid yoga enthusiast since she was studying in college. The under the radar work out really stuck with her and now she finds it to be the perfect thing to calm down and trim up.
While Markle has been taking poses consistently since college, yoga has been a part of her life since childhood. Markle’s mom is a yoga instructor, so it’s no surprise that this particular activity has stuck with her for so long. Nowadays Markle does her best to practice at least twice a week.
Some of her favorite poses include Warrior Two, Downward-Facing Dog, Bridge Pose, Thread The Needle, Supine Twist, and Corpse Pose. These poses target different areas of the body and when done together are a great sequence that anyone can do.
As the duchess recently said to another yoga fan, “It works for the mind and body; it’s so key.”
She also loves spending quality time with her mom
Markle absolutely adores her mother; she’s one of the few members of her family who hasn’t gone rogue. Prince Harry and his ladylove have taken several secret trips to visit Doria Ragland in Los Angeles.
Markle’s mother has also put her yoga practice and dog mom duties on hold to visit her daughter and her dashing husband on royal grounds.
Thankfully, the loving mother figure will be making a move to the United Kingdom in preparation for Markle’s first child. A royal insider said, “Doria should be here for the birth and will be staying. But then she has to get back to her dogs and work.”
That means the mother-daughter duo will be under the same roof for a while!
The grandmother-to-be plans to help her doting daughter raise Baby Sussex. While she wishes she could stay, she has her own life to get back to. Ultimately Ragland will be splitting her time between her home in LA and Frogmore Cottage. It looks like those secret trips will be back on in the future!
Markle also has a handful of hobbies that calm her nerves
When she isn’t breaking a sweat on the mat, going on secret trips to see her mother, or going on undercover romantic getaways with Prince Harry, the Duchess has a few other hobbies that keep her calm. For one, Markle’s penmanship is out of this world. Before she caught her big break in 2011, Markle made her way by juggling smaller acting jobs and, you guessed it, gigs as a calligraphy artist!
How good is she? Markle was a sought-after artist by some big Hollywood names. She even taught a course at a Paper Source store in Beverly Hills.
She also enjoys journaling. Clearly, Markle loves to put pen to paper! This allows her to get her thoughts out. Not only does she get to exercise her already excellent penmanship, but she also gets to enjoy the therapeutic effects of the process.
The former Suits star is also excellent in the kitchen. Even though she has an entire cooking staff on hand, she still loves to get her hands dirty to make meals for her and her hubby.
Once the baby is born Markle will be busy with Baby Sussex, but we’re sure she will still indulge in her favorite hobbies to keep her calm so she can carry on being an amazing wife and mother.
