Following the disturbing Harvey Weinstein allegations that have rocked Hollywood, another celebrity is also dealing with allegations of sexual misconduct. After several actresses broke their silence and claimed they were sexually harassed by the movie executive, many stars weighed in and pointed to a problem in the industry that has been going on for years with men in power.

One celebrity who might wish he didn’t comment on the subject at all, though, is Ben Affleck. The actor found himself embroiled in a scandal of his own when his past behavior was brought up.

Here’s a closer look at the claims surrounding the Justice League star, as well as two other big-name Hollywood stars involved in the scandal (page 8).

When the accusations first came to light, Affleck took to social media to denounce Weinstein’s alleged actions.

He wrote in part, “I am saddened and angry that a man who I worked with used his position of power to intimidate, sexually harass, and manipulate many women over decades.”

Hours after Affleck condemned Weinstein though, actress Rose McGowan — who is one of the many accusing Weinstein of sexual harassment —  called him out, claiming that he was fully aware of the movie executive’s behavior.

Hilarie Burton claims Affleck groped her during TRL

Things went from bad to worse when a Twitter user brought up Affleck’s past and said that they remember him groping Hilarie Burton on live TV several years ago.

The One Tree Hill alum responded to the claim and said she never forgot that Affleck touched her inappropriately during a Total Request Live segment in 2003. A video clip of the actress discussing the incident then quickly made the rounds online.

“I had to laugh back then, so I wouldn’t cry,” she confessed in the clip.

It didn’t end there for Affleck though, as another tape of him groping a woman in 2004 circulated online. This time the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice star was being interviewed by Canadian TV reporter Anne-Marie Losique, who he had do the interview on his lap while he repeatedly talked about her breasts.

While Affleck’s behavior in the video has been criticized, Losique defended what took place:

This was for the camera. You have to understand that we have done dozens and dozens of interviews like that. It was for a show I was producing, so I was not at all a victim. When the cameras rolled, we would start to do that game. As soon as it stopped rolling, there was none of that. He never touched me in any improper way. He was very respectful, I must say.

Someone reportedly “very annoyed” over Affleck’s scandal is Jennifer Garner, with whom he shares three children.

The former couple arrived separately at the Community Methodist Church in Pacific Palisades, California, on Oct. 15, 2017. Several media outlets have reported that Garner is ticked off about his alleged behavior and believes it will bring more attention to their kids, Violet, 11, Seraphina, 8, and Samuel, 5.

Affleck isn’t the only actor who found himself embroiled in controversy amid the Weinstein scandal. Russell Crowe and Affleck’s good friend, Matt Damon, have also had their names blasted in the headlines.

Former reporter for The New York Times, Sharon Waxman, accused Damon of knowing about Weinstein’s alleged crimes and claimed that he and Crowe worked to make sure a story she was doing in 2004 about the executive’s alleged sexual misconduct didn’t run.

Damon responded to Waxman’s claim, telling Deadline that he only phoned her to share his experience of working with producer Fabrizio Lombardo, who the Times piece was about. The Talented Mr. Ripley star also disputed that he knew of Weinstein’s alleged harassment.

“I did five or six movies with Harvey. I never saw this,” he said. He also added, “I think a lot of actors have come out and said, everybody’s saying we all knew. That’s not true. This type of predation happens behind closed doors, and out of public view.”
