Allegations have been made against comedian Kevin Hart for cheating on pregnant wife Eniko Parrish. To make things worse, a sexually suggestive video has surfaced, and there have been attempts to extort money from Hart in return for the video. Investigators are working to track down anyone who was present during the weekend in question, news outlets reported. Here is how Hart and Parrish have been addressing the allegations.
Hart posted an apology video on Instagram Sunday, with the caption, “Sending so many apologies to my wife & kids. I gotta do better and I will. I’m not perfect and have never claimed to be …I love you all.” The 38-year-old actor revealed in the video that someone was trying to make “financial gain” off his misbehavior.
“I’m at a place in my life where I feel like I have a target on my back,” Hart said in the video. “And because of that I should make smart decisions. And recently, I didn’t. You know, I’m not perfect. I’m not going to sit up here and say that I am or claim to be in any way shape or form.
“I made a bad error in judgement and I put myself in a bad environment where only bad things can happen and they did. And in doing that I know that I’m going to hurt the people closest to me, who I talked to and apologized to, that would be my wife and my kids.”
Hart and ex-wife Torrei Hart have two children, daughter Heaven, 12, and Son Hendrix, 9. Hart and Parrish married in Augusts 2016. The couple is expecting a baby boy, as was announced in May.
On Monday, Parrish was approached by the press when running errands in Beverly Hills. When asked about the extortion plot and the impact it had on her family, Parrish, who was wearing her wedding ring, remained mum.
A snap featured by Parrish on Instagram shows the couple spending their one-year wedding anniversary in Hawaii in August.
Hart also shared a pic of the couple in Hawaii in June.
On Sunday, Hart was in Clayton, Ga., filming his upcoming movie Night School. Movies Hart has previously appeared in include Ride Along and Top Five.
