Kris Jenner embraces each day as a new opportunity

Jenner was recently a guest on the Pretty Messed Up podcast, a show hosted by her dear friend Cheryl Burke and her co-hosts, Backstreet Boy AJ McLean, and his mentor, Rene Elizondo.

When asked what helps Jenner keep from going “completely insane,” she had a straightforward answer: “Vodka.” Jenner was joking, of course, and went on to explain her daily approach to life.

“I truly look at each day as a new beginning,” she explained. “Things that happen in the media or [when] something crazy happens, people’s feathers [get] ruffled — you just pick yourself up, brush yourself off, and start all over again the next day.” As a family in the public eye, Jenner and her six children have no choice but to do so.

“I think we all have really thick skin,” Jenner said of her family.

Prayer is a big part of Kris Jenner’s daily routine

Jenner also prays to maintain balance in her life.

“I feel like I’m very spiritual, and I believe in God and Jesus Christ and that’s what’s in my heart,” she added. “For me, it’s important to instill those same thoughts and feelings to my kids and my grandkids.”

Jenner works prayer is into her daily routine. “We pray a lot,” she said, adding how she prays individually, together with her family, and before they share meals. One of Jenner’s examples included praying with her daughter, Kendall Jenner, who gets nervous before taking flights, as one of the many times she prays with her family.

Kris Jenner’s kids have an ‘amazing work ethic’ — something that makes her life easier

As discussed during the episode, parenting children in the entertainment industry is no easy feat. McLean commended Jenner for her ability to parent all six of her children in a way that allowed them to become successful. Jenner admitted she doesn’t operate alone — her passionate kids are what has allowed her to become the success that she is.

“I can come up with a lot of great ideas on a business level,” said Jenner, adding:

But if nobody showed up to work, I would be just another person with a bunch of great ideas. I’m so blessed to have these girls with an amazing work ethic.

Each of Jenner’s children has created their careers and, therefore, a life by design — something she is so very proud of.

“They take the responsibility very seriously that this is a business they want to grow so they have something for their future,” Jenner added. “They know that as a manager, I helped them achieve some of those dreams that move them along the right path.”

Perhaps the best part of working with her kids is getting even more time with them.

“As a mom, we have the best life together because we’re always together,” Jenner concluded. That togetherness, her daily prayer, and the ability to brush things off keep Jenner from going “completely insane.”
