There is no question that Kim Kardashian West has the most famous figure in the world.
The reality star has built an entire empire around her hourglass physique alone and works very hard to maintain her shape.
While Kardashian West sticks to a strict fitness regime and diet, she wouldn’t be able to do it all if it wasn’t for her trainer, Melissa Alcantara.
Kardashian recruited Alcantara after seeing her inspiring transformation photos
If you’ve been following Kardashian West on social media for some time now, then you know that she takes fitness and health very seriously.
The reality star works extremely hard to maintain her famous figure and is known for showcasing her daily workouts on Instagram and Snapchat.
While she is all about maintaining a healthy lifestyle, the reality star wouldn’t be in the shape she’s currently in if it wasn’t for Alcantara.
Following the birth of her second child, Kardashian West found herself struggling to lose her pregnancy weight and was determined to get her post-baby body back.
Although she has worked with some of the best trainers in the business, Kardashian decided to recruit Alcantara in 2017.
Alcantara embraced the health and fitness lifestyle after becoming overweight and “depressed” following the birth of her daughter in 2011.
She soon decided to make a change to her lifestyle and started practicing fitness and self-love all while focusing on treating her body well and building up her strength.
The fitness guru eventually quit her job as a photography producer and began working as a restaurant hostess, giving her more time to focus on fitness.
As she worked toward maintaining her healthy lifestyle, Alcantara documented her progress on social media, which soon caught the eye of Kardashian.
After seeing side by side photos of the trainer’s amazing transformation, the reality star felt inspired and decided to reach out.
“I was looking on Instagram and this bodybuilder popped up on my page and she had gained 70 pounds in her pregnancy. Her kid’s like six now. She is, like, ripped,” Kardashian West said during an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
“If I was 10 percent like her it would be life-changing. Like my whole arms and back. It’s mostly food. I gotta have this lifestyle. I gotta try.”

After reaching out to Alcantara, the two women met up for the first time on the show and had an instant connection.
Right off the bat, the trainer purified Kardashian’s pantry of processed foods and has since put the reality star on a strict diet.
In addition to making sure the KKW mogul eats right, Alcantara also makes her client put in hard work when it comes to her fitness routines.
Everyday at 5:30 a.m., Kardashian West and Alcantara hit the reality star’s in-home gym to break a sweat before taking on the day.
Kardashian regularly documents her workouts on social media and from what we can tell, Alcantara does not go easy on her.
The two women are currently working toward getting the reality star back to her ideal size after Kardashian recently revealed that she gained some weight over the past year.
“Sometimes we fall off and sometimes you really gotta get it together,” she said in an Instagram Stories video shared on Nov. 2. “This is one of my fallen-off times where I am, I think, 18 lbs. up from what I was about a year ago, a year and a half ago.”
The reality star went on to point out that she plans to reach her fitness goal by October 2020 and will put in all of the hard work that’s needed to achieve her ideal weight.
“To feel good, I just want to get it like, a really good goal weight, and so that means working out at all costs,” she continued. “It’s my eating. I work out but it’s, like, my eating. But Melissa and I have a major goal for by the time I’m 40.”
Alcantara can be heard in the background, saying, “You’re going to be 39 going on 21.”
Kardashian West is not taking the easy route when it comes to fitness and within the next few months, she will definitely start seeing the results she and Alcantara planned for.
