How Long Have Russell Wilson and Ciara Been Married and How Many Children Do They Have?
Russell Wilson has a big reason to celebrate these days and he decided to let everyone know exactly why from bed next to his wife, Ciara.
In April 2019, reports surfaced that the Seattle Seahawks signal caller agreed to a record contract that would make him the highest-paid player in the NFL. Wilson confirmed the news via Twitter. The deal will keep him with the team for four more years and is worth $140 million with a $65 million signing bonus, according to ESPN.
After the quarterback shared the video with Ciara by his side, people had some questions about the couple including how long they’ve been together and how many children they have. When they went public with their relationship?
About a year after Ciara’s public split from rapper Future, whose real name is Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn, the songstress and NFL star made their debut as a couple at the 2015 White House State Dinner for Japan. Then, in 2016, they announced that they got engaged while vacationing in the Seychelles.
The pair tied the knot during a lavish ceremony at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire, England. Plenty of celebrity guests were on hand to see their nuptials including Kelly Rowland, Jennifer Hudson, and La La Anthony.
While this was the first marriage for “1, 2 Step” artist it was Wilson’s second. The athlete was previously married to his college sweetheart, Ashton Meem, from 2012 to 2014. Ciara meanwhile was previously engaged to Future as well as her former beau Bow Wow.
How many kids do Ciara and Wilson have?
The couple has one child together but Ciara became a mother before she met Wilson when she gave birth to her son, Future Zahir Wilburn, in 2014.

“He’s been such an incredible father since day one,” Ciara told E! News. “He’s so loving and very patient. He also likes to have fun–he’s very spontaneous and we just have a good time as a family.”
One of the best things about their relationship
In an interview with Yahoo Lifestyle, Ciara gushed about her hubby and explained that one of the best things about their relationship is havin such a strong person who supports her in everything she does.
“I’m a strong woman but I need a strong man by my side, and I know I can do anything that I put my mind to. But I think at some point in time it’s good to let somebody also do some stuff for you too. The best thing is when you have a man that’s strong,” she said, adding, “A strong man that’s smart and wise and also loves you and has your back and lifts you up and empowers you.”
