How Many Times Has ’90 Day Fiancé’ Star Larissa Dos Santos Lima Been Arrested In the U.S.?

90 Day Fiancé star Larissa Dos Santos Lima is a controversial figure for many fans of the show. The reality star, now divorced from Colt Johnson, is infamous for her propensity towards violence when it comes to her significant other.

In fact, Lima has been arrested as recently as January 2019 for domestic violence. Recently, Lima began opening up about how she began a battle with depression and anxiety after her arrest in 2018 for violence as well. For some fans, this begs the question — exactly how many times has Larissa Dos Santos Lima been arrested for domestic violence?

Lima’s January arrest, public service

Colt Johnson and Larissa Dos Santos Lima met in Mexico and decided to tie the knot a mere five days after meeting up. Unfortunately for Colt, it seems the honeymoon period was destined to be shortlived.

In January 2019, 90 Day Fiancé star Larissa Dos Santos Lima was booked for attacking then-husband Colt Johnson in Clark County, Nevada. Lima was charged with misdemeanor domestic violence and was stated to be the aggressor in the case.

Officer Jay Rivera said, “[Colt] had a swollen lip, and his gums and teeth were bloodied.” Lima herself had scratches on her face and body, but these were reportedly self-inflicted by Lima.

Apparently Colt Johnson is something of a nail-biter, and his fingernails were essentially incapable of causing the degree of damage visible.

As a result of her domestic abuse charge, Lima was ordered by a judge to serve 48 hours of community service. Lima was also charged a $345 fine for attacking Colt Johnson.

Lima’s attorney at the time informed E! News, “Everything went according to plan. The judge accepted the negotiations to reduce her case down to a disorderly conduct upon successful completion of her requirements.”

Lima’s 2018 arrests

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Lima’s 2019 arrests were not the first on her record. In fact, the 90 Day Fiancé star was arrested twice in 2018, also for domestic violence against Colt Johnson.

Lima’s first 2018 arrest was in June, only days before the two got married — a red flag if there’s ever been one, but apparently not big enough for Colt Johnson. Lima attacked Johnson once more in November — however, charges were dismissed in both of these cases.

However, according to Johnson’s mother, Debbie, Johnson has the option to go back to the district attorney within a year and request that they prosecute Lima for the past incidents.

Battling depression and anxiety

Since then, Larissa Dos Santos Lima has come forward to say that she’s been battling depression and anxiety since her first arrest in 2018. According to Lima, she even resorted to pills to try and self-medicate during that time.

“I was devastated, emotionally exhausted, and my entire body ached from depression,” wrote Lima in a now-deleted Instagram post, according to The Blast.

Lima added, “Sometimes, I was filmed while being on pain killers. I couldn’t move, do basic activities, or take care of myself.”.

Lima is trying to see her ups and downs from a positive viewpoint. She continued, “I now see that my being [arrested] was a blessing, as l have the knowledge now to give back in a way that would not [have] been possible if it didn’t happen to me,” she wrote.
