How Prince William and Prince Harry Made History By Reuniting With Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle
Prince William and Prince Harry are about to make royal history. The brothers are reportedly working on a new television ad that will reunite their families – Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle – following months of feud rumors. Here’s everything we know about Prince Harry and Prince William’s new and exciting project.
Prince William and Prince Harry reunite on television
William has always been close to his younger brother, yet their relationship hit a major snag when Harry started dating Markle. In the months and years following their romance, reports circulated that the brothers are at odds over how the royal family has treated the former actress.
Their feud reportedly spilled over to their spouses, with Markle and Middleton going head to head in the headlines. While the feud rumors continue to surface, the Cambridges and Sussexes are putting those negative reports to rest with a new ad.
According to Express, the couples are releasing a new campaign on mental health called, “Every Mind Matter,” which includes a television advertisement. The ad will feature an appearance by the Fab Four, a nickname they picked up after working together on a project in 2017.
The ad is also their first joint effort since Prince Harry and Markle broke away from the Royal Foundation at the beginning of 2019, a charity they helped establish with Prince William and Middleton.
The royal family has yet to comment on the ad, though royal expert and editor for the Daily Mirror, Russell Meyers, says that they will be making history with the new project.
“This is great, this is fantastic,” Meyers shared. “Not only are Harry and William making history but the Fab Four are back together.”
How are William and Harry making history?
Between Prince Harry and Markle splitting from the Royal Foundation and all the feud rumors, royal watchers expected that the Fab Four’s days were over.
The new television ad proves that they are still willing to do joint projects, but this is not what makes the new ad groundbreaking.
The project marks the first time members of the royal family have spearheaded a TV project that will air across all networks in the same time slot. Apart from the Sussexes and the Cambridges, the ad will feature the likes of Glenn Close, Jimmy Anderson, Freddie Flintoff, and Davina McCall. It is around three minutes long.
The focus of the ad, of course, is mental health, a subject Prince Harry and Prince William have championed in the past. The project’s goal is to provide free access to mental health programs, including an online plan that points people in the right direction.
Harry and William have both opened up about their own struggles with mental health, especially in the wake of their mother’s tragic death. They have also supported several charities on mental health and are devoted to helping people whenever they get the chance.
Is this the end of Prince William and Prince Harry’s feud?
Harry and Markle breaking off from the Royal Foundation seemingly confirmed the feud rumors. But the fact that they are now working together could mean that things are turning around for the brothers.
In fact, inside sources claim that the Sussexes and Cambridges both jumped at the chance to work on the mental health project, which was created by Richard Curtis, the person behind Four Weddings and a Funeral.
The source also says that the entire experience was positive for everyone involved and that the royals hope it will have a big impact on the U.K.
There is no telling if the couples have made amends, but it sounds like this is a step in the right direction.
Prior to the new ad, William and Harry worked together to establish a text line for people who are struggling with mental health issues. The project was fully supported by Middleton and Markle and was paid for by a $3 million grant from the Royal Foundation.
Prince Harry and Prince William have not commented on the rumors surrounding their relationship. The Duke of Sussex just returned home with his wife and son, Archie Harrison, after a ten-day tour of South Africa.
