How to Watch All the Marvel Movies Before ‘Avengers: Endgame’
The premiere of Avengers: Endgame is so close you can almost taste it. Tickets went on sale April 2 and the internet went crazy as people scrambled trying to get ahold of a pair for opening night. Several ticket vendors had problems keeping up for the demand for tickets (which was reportedly three times as high as it was for Infinity War) and multiple websites and apps crashed in the early hours of ticket sales.
Pre-sale ticket sales for the movie were record-breaking. Fandango confirmed that it was the biggest pre-sale event for any movie ever. They also said that April 2 sales were the highest grossing sales day the company has had in its entire 19-year history.
With all the buzz and record-breaking sales, it makes it hard to fathom that Endgame won’t ultimately be the highest grossing movie ever. Anticipation is at an all-time high and now fans (new and old) are preparing for the movie’s release by catching up on all their old favorites.
If you’re a hard-core Marvel fan, chances are, you saw every Avengers movie as it came out in the theaters. And odds are, you’ve seen each movie more than once. But what if it has been a while and you need to catch up on a few of the movies before Endgame hit theaters? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Here are all the ways you can see every single Marvel movie before Avengers: Endgame is released on April 26.
Stream newer movies with Netflix or Hulu
Unfortunately, not every movie is available to stream online. However, almost half of the Marvel movies are available to stream across various platforms. Netflix has the largest selection for a standard plan service, with five of the studio’s newest releases. Here you can catch:
- Avengers: Infinity War
- Thor: Ragnarok
- Black Panther
- Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 2
- Ant-Man and the Wasp
Hulu currently only offers one MCU movie on its standard plan, Iron Man 2. However, if you have Hulu Live, be on the lookout for other Marvel films. These movies are currently on the schedule on Hulu Live:
- Iron Man 3 (Also available on Amazon Prime)
- Captain America: Civil War
- Marvel’s The Avengers
- Thor: The Dark World
- The Incredible Hulk
- Guardians of the Galaxy
- Spiderman: Homecoming
If you have cable TV, watch out for the above movies on FX and USA.
Rent the older movies on demand
So what about the other movies? Unfortunately, there are a few movies that are not available to stream for free on any of the subscription services. In this case, you will have to rent or buy the movie. Fortunately, there are many places to rent or buy these movies. These include:
- Google Play
Binge watch the entire series with an epic Marvel marathon
Ok. Renting and streaming the movies is great, but what if you want to watch ALL the movies back to back all in one sitting. Good news, AMC and Drafthouse have you covered. Starting April 23, select theaters will be showing every single movie in the MCU universe, starting with Iron Man and working up to the April 26 release of Avengers: Endgame.
This marathon is not for the faint of heart. The marathon includes 22 movies, lasting over 59 hours. No breaks. No showers. No beds. That means you are going to want to wear comfortable clothes, pack plenty of deodorant, and plan your naps accordingly. Premium concessions will be provided by Drafthouse at select locations. If you think you have what it takes, tickets are currently on sale for select theaters.
