How to Watch Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Interview With Oprah Winfrey if You Don’t Have Cable
Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex‘s fans have been eagerly awaiting the couple’s big primetime interview ever since it was announced that the Sussexes sat down with legendary talk show host Oprah Winfrey.
But those who don’t have CBS are wondering if they’ll be able to view the special that is set to air on the network. Read on to find out how you can watch Meghan and Harry’s interview with Lady O even if you don’t have cable.
When and where the interview took place
Winfrey spent two days filming the special with the pair. According to Hello!, the interview did not take place at Meghan and Harry’s Santa Barbara home but outside of a friend’s property in the area.
It was shot in mid-February, just days before it was announced that the duke and duchess would not be returning to their royal duties via a statement from Buckingham Palace which read:
Following conversations with the duke, the queen has written confirming that in stepping away from the work of the royal family it is not possible to continue with the responsibilities and duties that come with a life of public service. The honorary military appointments and royal patronages held by the duke and duchess will therefore be returned to Her Majesty, before being redistributed among working members of the royal family. While all are saddened by their decision, the duke and duchess remain much loved members of the family.
Oprah will interview Meghan before Harry joins the conversation
It’s been reported that the program will begin with a one-on-one chat between Meghan and Winfrey before the prince joins the conversation. The women have known each other for years. Winfrey was a guest at Meghan and Harry’s royal wedding and now they currently reside in the same neighborhood.
The trailer for the interview shows Winfrey speaking to the former Suits star and stating to viewers: “I just want to make it clear to everybody, there is no subject that’s off limits.”
In a press release CBS said: “Winfrey will speak with Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, in a wide-ranging interview, covering everything from stepping into life as a royal, marriage, motherhood, philanthropic work to how she is handling life under intense public pressure. Later, the two are joined by Prince Harry as they speak about their move to the United States and their future hopes and dreams for their expanding family.”
