How to Watch the Disney World Fireworks Live This New Year’s Eve

There’s nothing quite like visiting Disney World during the holidays. The parks go all out for the Christmas season, from the International Festival of the Holidays at Epcot to the Flurry of Fun at Hollywood Studios to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom.

The celebrations – which run through the first week of January – are a ton of fun. But they also help to make the time between Christmas and New Year’s one of the busiest times of the year at Disney. With kids off of school for winter break and plenty of people eager to escape the snow and cold, the Magic Kingdom swells with visitors. Ticket prices are at their peak and accommodations can be scarce and hard to come by. For many, a trip to Disney at this time of year is simply out of reach. Fortunately, you can celebrate with Mickey from the comfort of your couch.

One highlight of a holiday visit to Disney is the New Year’s Eve fireworks at the Magic Kingdom. The Fantasy in the Sky show lights up the sky on December 31 at 11:50 p.m. There’s also a 6:30 p.m. show, as well as 6:30 and 11:50 shows on December 30.

You might think you’d need to visit Disney to see the festive display, but that’s not the case. Once again, Disney will live stream the fireworks extravaganza on the official Disney Parks YouTube channel on December 31. The broadcast starts at 11:45 p.m. ET.

Fantasy in the Sky features songs from movies like Peter Pan, Pinocchio, and Aladdin. The New Year’s Eve show will also include a special finale to welcome in 2019.

You can even be part of the live stream yourself by sharing your favorite Disney Parks vacation picture on Twitter with the hashtag #DisneyParksLIVE. Disney will share some of the photos during the YouTube live stream.
