Now that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are home after a trip to South Africa, fans are looking forward to seeing their next big engagement — which could be as soon as Halloween. Inside Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Halloween plans

As far as Halloween goes, people in the U.K. celebrate the holiday just like they do in the United States — though it is tamed down a bit. The royal family, however, tends to stick to the shadows on this one. In fact, the royals rarely celebrate Halloween in public, but some members have been known to throw private parties on occasion.

This year, for example, Middleton’s mother, Carole Middleton, and younger sister, Pippa Middleton, might be planning an event for the Cambridge’s children, though nothing official has been confirmed.

Considering that Meghan Markle hails from America, there is a chance that she does something to celebrate Halloween. According to Romper, whatever Markle does will likely be a small nod to the holiday, like dressing up Archie Harrison in an adorable costume.

The couple certainly has a lot of options at their disposal when it comes to Halloween outfits. They could have their baby rock the New York Yankees jersey that was given to them this past June or go with some more traditional, like a pumpkin or bumblebee.

Either way, it would be absolutely adorable to see Archie Harrison dressed up for Halloween this year, assuming they share pics on social media.

Will Markle and Harry celebrate Halloween?

While we wait to see if Markle and Prince Harry celebrate Halloween this year, the holiday does have a special place in their hearts. The pair went public with their romance in November of 2016, and a Halloween bash the week before was the last time they enjoyed some privacy together.

The event took place in Toronto, where Markle was filming a season of Suits. Prince Harry flew in secret to attend the party and reportedly had a blast with his future wife.

The only reason Markle did not jet across the pond is because Halloween is not as big in the U.K. as it is in the U.S. This does not bode well for this year’s Halloween celebrations, though there is still a good chance Markle will indulge in the holiday.

As royal watchers keep an eye on the couple’s Instagram account, this would not be the first time Markle has celebrated Halloween in public.

Has Meghan Markle celebrated Halloween in the past?

Back in 2016, Markle shared a photo of herself dressed as a huge pumpkin for Halloween. The former Suits star posted the photo on her Instagram account and may have rocked that same look for her Halloween party with Prince Harry that same year.

“Happy Halloween, friends #Halloween #pumpkin,” Markle wrote alongside the pic.

The Duchess of Sussex did not reveal who snapped the photo, but it is possible that Prince Harry was behind the camera. Considering how Markle has celebrated Halloween in the past, there is a chance she does something small this year. The only thing we hope is that she shares the moment on social media for everyone to enjoy.

While Markle clearly has ties to Halloween, other members of the royal family have celebrated the holiday in years past.  Prince Harry, for example, donned a goblin costume way back in 1987 for a play at his nursery school. So at least we know that the royals are not totally opposed to the holiday.

Harry and Markle have not commented on their plans for Halloween. The couple is getting ready to take a break from their royal duties and are set to travel to Los Angeles next month.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, along with Archie Harrison, will visit her mother, Doria Ragland, during their stay, which is expected to last around six weeks.
