When a fan asked about how Davis handles “uncertain times,” she imparted a bit of wisdom with this tweet:

I’m keeping sane by allowing myself permission to feel the pain of it all and to allow myself all the small pleasures in life. Keto butter pecan ice cream, playing tickle monster [with] Genesis, and jumping on the trampoline, cooking, sleeping. But…it’s A LOT!!!

What is next for Davis?

Fans are still waiting for the last several episodes How to Get Away with Murder to air, but production wrapped for the cast and crew long ago. Thus, Davis has had plenty of time to concentrate on new ventures. The multitalented actress has several projects in various stages of development and production.

Right around the corner in 2020, the feature film, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom will premiere. Davis will star in the historical drama as Ma Rainey, also known as the “Mother of the Blues.” The story takes place in 1927 in Chicago where the music scene was hot and racial tensions were high. Chadwick Boseman, Glynn Turman, and Colman Domingo will appear alongside Davis.

In 2021, Warner Bros. plans to launch The Suicide Squad movie, based on the story of a band of DC-comics antiheros. Aside from her forthcoming acting roles, Davis will step behind the camera on two films, Sonata and Hanging by a Thread, serving as a producer and executive producer, respectively. How to Get Away with Murder airs on Thursdays at 10 p.m. on ABC.
