Inside Frogmore Cottage, Where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Will Live After Baby
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are moving! Weeks after news broke about Prince William and Prince Harry going their separate ways, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have decided to forgo their original plans of raising their first child at Kensington Palace. Instead, they will move to Frogmore Cottage early next year where they will start their next chapter as a family. Take a closer look inside Frogmore Cottage, including what it will look like once renovations are complete.
Inside Frogmore Cottage
According to The Sun, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to move into a new home — and it’s not at Kensington Palace like they had planned. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will move to their new Windsor Castle estate in the early months of 2019, as they prepare for the arrival of their first child.
However, as of right now, Frogmore Cottage is nowhere near ready for the future parents. Right now, Frogmore Cottage is considered staff housing and split into five separate units. To turn it into a luxury home for Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and baby, major renovations are underway. The cottage — which was gifted to them by the queen (much like many of their other homes) — renovation is a multi-million dollar project, paid for by Her Majesty, aka British taxpayers. And, once everything is completed, it will have 10 bedrooms, a nursery for baby Sussex, as well as a space for a gym and yoga studio — after all, Meghan Markle is an avid yogi.
Frogmore Cottage is about an hour from London and the family’s home base, which will allow for a more private upbringing for the new prince or princess. And, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are reportedly very excited and grateful to move, as Windsor Castle holds a special place in their hearts. Not to mention: They will be a lot closer to the queen and Prince Philip, as they spend most of their time there now.
Pleased to see The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are moving to Frogmore Cottage Windsor next year. It's set in a delightful location, safe and secure – away from prying eyes – and lots of space to bring up a family. The only downside – aeroplanes in and out of Heathrow, pic.twitter.com/qokGYpr0Bj

Where do Prince Harry and Meghan Markle live now?
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle currently live in Nottingham Cottage, where they have resided since their Engagement in 2017. Just in time for their due date, the royal parents-to-be had plans to move into a multi-room apartment in the main area of Kensington Palace — right near Prince William and Kate Middleton’s 20-room pad — but recently backed out. Some reports say the reason Prince Harry and Meghan Markle don’t want to live at Kensington Palace is due to tension between the royal brothers. However, there’s no telling how true that statement is. After all, Prince Harry and Prince William have kept a close relationship all their lives. This move could just be a way to keep a low profile during this new chapter of their lives. When Prince George was born, Prince William and Kate Middleton lived away from the palace, too.
Another rumor suggests that the two had planned to move into Kensington Palace’s main building, but the apartment wouldn’t be ready in time for the new prince or princess’s arrival. Either way, the couple will no longer call Kensington Palace home come spring. With that said, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will still spend time at Kensington Palace and likely keep their Nottingham Cottage pad or move into an apartment when they are in town for work. The two share an office and base their affairs out of the palace.
